In 2012, the two stars appeared in tvN's historical-romance series "Queen and I," where Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na played the lead roles. Their chemistry made people convinced that they were an actual couple.
Meanwhile, after the drama concluded, the "Queen and I" cast participated in a fan meeting to celebrate the successful ending of the drama. In the interview segment, Ji Hyun Woo surprised everyone after he confessed he was in love with his leading lady. The spontaneous statement by the actor circulated online and made fans believe the two co-stars were in a secret relationship.

Their romance onscreen then turned into a reality. They were captured by paparazzi secretly dating in Yoo In Na's home in Kyeonggido on June 17, 2017. They were reported spending time together at the park and enjoying each other's company. Apart from that, it was reported the two were close on during filming and looked like a happy couple.

Right after the photos were revealed, the "Goblin" actress finally clarified her love status at KBS' Yoo In Na's "Turn Up the Volume" radio show. She also said on air that she liked Ji Hyun Woo, and she was grateful for his sincere intention toward her.

However, they ended their relationship before Ji Hyun Woo's military discharge in 2014. The breakup rumors started when Yoo In Na failed to attend Ji Hyun Woo's discharge ceremony. YG Entertainment then released a statement that the actress couldn't make it due to her busy schedule.
According to a source from Ji Hyun Woo's side, the couple already called it quits.
