Sul Gook and Anna had been wishing the happiness of their son, Sul Sul Hee, who had been lamenting over his breakup with Aurora (Jun So Min). However, the news from Sul Sul Hee's doctor that cancer cells have spread out to entire of his body except for his brain have shocked them to the point where they could not even shed a tear.
On MBC everyday drama "Aurora Princess," which aired on November 27, 2013, Sul Gook and Anna accidentally found out about Sul Sul Hee's cancer when visiting an acquaintance at a hospital.
On that day's episode, Sul Sul Hee realized that he has been feeling weaker. Since he has told his parents that he would go to the United States to get over Aurora and start a new life, Sul Sul Hee packed his belongings and left for the hospital, telling Sul Gook and Anna that he is going to the United States. While talking with Aurora on the phone, he said, "I have not been feeling well since this morning. I told my parents that I would be in the United States for two to three weeks to receive my chemotherapy in the hospital." Aurora, worried about Sul Sul Hee's health, said, "I will go to the hospital right now," and cared for him in the hospital.
However, Sul Sul Hee's secret did not last that long. Sul Gook and Anna couple, who visited their acquaintance in the same hospital where Sul Sul Hee is hospitalized, accidentally saw him in a wheelchair. When the Sul Gook and Anna couple witnessed Sul Sul Hee, whom they had thought left for the United States, is being taken care by Aurora, the two could not hide their bewilderment. They ran to Sul Sul Hee's nurse and asked for the reason why he is at the hospital. When the nurse carefully answered, "Ask the patient directly," Sul Gook and Anna became more apprehensive.
