On June 19, before the bullying controversy involving Nam Joo Hyuk broke out, a YouTuber named Sojang uploaded a video with the title "Nam Joo Hyuk's awful personality" and started slandering the model-actor.

According to the YouTube channel, Nam Joo Hyuk says rude things to people around him and gives different attitudes depending on the type of group of people he is with.
In addition, Sojang stated that the "School 2015" star is kind to those individuals who are famous but acts rude to those who are not.

Due to this, fans and several online users were enraged at the said YouTuber for publishing claims that have no proof. People criticized Sojang and her YouTube channel for causing trouble to celebrities.
Others say that Sojang, the person behind the account is a woman in her 40s, who keeps on slandering other Korean stars and exaggerating stories that would ruin their image in public.
In the past, the YouTuber even made false claims of getting pregnant by a K-pop idol by creating a fake pregnancy test.
