A month after the drunk driving incident, the actress took an effort to make amends with the merchants near the vicinity as she wrapped up the final stages of settlements.
Kim Sae Ron Personally Apologizes to Establishments Affected by the Incident
As obtained by an outlet, YTN Star confirmed that the "The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim" star personally visited the shops that were affected by the incident and apologized for the inconvenience she had caused.
In addition, the report also states that the settlement is almost completed and the majority of the buildings and merchants have been compensated.
To recall, Kim Sae Ron shocked the public after various outlets revealed that she was the one driving the SUV that hit public property.
According to reports, on the morning of May 18, Seoul Gangnam Police Station shared that the actress "has been booked under the charges of drunk driving" after her car rammed a structure in the district of Cheongdam in Gangnam.
Her agency immediately addressed the issue and based on their official statement "Kim Sae Ron took a blood test for accurate results" and "was escorted home by her guardian without additional investigation."

Gold Medalist and the actress also promised to "faithfully respond to the police's questioning."
Due to the incident, it caused great inconvenience and traffic within the vicinity. Business owners also experienced payment processing system malfunctions and had to close down because of the power outage.
At the time, Kim Sae Ron's agency promised to cooperate and shared that they are in the "process of compensating as much as possible for the damage caused by the accident" and will do their best to "take responsibility until the end."
Kim Sae Ron's Apology, Paying Millions of Won to Replace Damage
At the height of the controversy, the actress expressed her apology through social media. Kim Sae Ron's Instagram featured a handwritten letter showing her deep regret following the incident.
She acknowledged that she "made a big mistake while intoxicated" and "caused damage to so many people, including merchants, citizens, and people" who were affected because of her wrong judgment and actions.
Moreover, she also mentioned that she "needs to act more cautiously and responsibly."
Before personally visiting the establishments, Kim Sae Ron also paid 20 million KRW or around 15,817 USD to replace the damaged electric transformer box and she was the one who reached out first to the company.
Unfortunately, aside from the businesses, the actress' career was also hot with a major blow because of the DUI incident. She dropped out from two upcoming Kdramas. The SBS' "Trolley" and Netflix's "Hunting Dogs."
