Blue Dragon Series Awards Drops More Details Before Its Ceremony

Sports Chosun officially announced the nominees for the first-ever Blue Dragon Series Awards, which is scheduled to happen this coming July 19 at Paradise City in Incheon. The big event is expected to be hosted by Jun Hyun Moo and SNSD's YoonA and will have its live broadcast through Naver Now and LG Uplus.

Blue Dragon Series Awards Confirms Date

The series was released, produced, and invested from May 1, 2021, to April 30, 2022, on different streaming platforms such as Netflix, Kakao TV, TVING, Disney+, Apple TV+, seezn, Coupang Play, WATCHA, and wavve were eligible for nominations.

In addition, there are 12 categories for the much-awaited ceremony. There are Best Drama, Best Entertainment Program, Best Male and Female Entertainer, Male and Female Leading Actor, Male and Female Supporting Actor, Male and Female New Artist Award, Male and Female New Actor Award (also known as the Rookie of the Year Award), and Popular Star Award.

Kang Daniel Earns First Nomination in Best New Actor Category

Among the names listed, idol-actor Kang Daniel caught the public's attention. He just made his acting debut through the youth romance series "Rookie Cops" in 2021. He impressively bagged his first-ever nomination in the Best New Actor category for Blue Dragon Series Awards.

Thanks to his first lead drama role, the former Wanna One member has earned a spot and can take home the trophy. Kang Daniel will compete with actors Koo Kyo Hwan, Chang Ryul, Park Seo Ham, Park Jae Chan, and Lee Do Hyun.
