Ryeo Un Joins Shin Ye Eun to Lead 'Flower Scholar's Love Story'
On July 11, a media outlet cited that rookie actor Ryeo Un is announced as the main character of SBS' historical-romance drama "Flower Scholar's Love Story."
Ryeo Un Confirmed To Lead New SBS Romance Drama
Supporting the news, the actor's agency Lucky Company confirmed that Ryeo Un would participate in the drama and play one of the main leads. He is expected to team up with actress Shin Ye Eun.
"The Red Sleeve" actor Kang Hoon is also confirmed to join the star-studded cast of the romance drama.
"Flower Scholar's Love Story" foretells the story of an incident that takes place when the owner of the boarding house "Guest House Summer Palace," which broke the stereotype and borders on secrets, collaborates to find the theory of the abandoned descendants that disappeared 13 years ago.
It has been said that this is Ryeo Un's first historical drama which is why many are already looking forward to his acting performance. Furthermore, the production aimed to release the series in the first half of 2023.

The 24-year-old Korean star made his acting debut in 2017 with the series "You Are Too Much" and was immediately scouted to join "Temperature of Love." He also showed off his presence by appearing in numerous projects such as "Doctor Prisoner," "365: Repeat The Year," " Homemade Love Story," "Adult Trainee," and "Through the Darkness."
Ryeo Un's New Webtoon-Based Drama To Air This Year
Before "Flower Scholar's Love Story," Ryeo Un is gearing for his new drama "Borrowed Body." It depicts the story of Lee Sang Yoo, a high school student who has a crush on Ki Da Rim. Because he was falsely accused of an incident, nobody wants to be with Lee Sang Yoo anymore. His life as a student becomes miserable.
He witnessed Ki Da Rim's confession to Yoon Ho Young, a famous heartthrob among the students. However, Ho Young turned her down.
One strange night, Da Rim and Sang Yoo throw coins into a fountain and make wishes. Both of them collapse, and when they finally wake up, they find they have changed bodies.
Ryeo Un will join Nam Yoon Su and Park Hye Eum in the drama adaptation, which is set to premiere this year.
