"Yumi's Cells 2" episode 12 delivered an unexpected turn on Kim Go Eun and GOT7 Jinyoung's characters. In addition, a possible budding romance between Lee Yoo Bi and P.O becomes the highlight of the latest episode.
'Yumi's Cells 2 Episode 12: Goo Woong and Yoo Babi's Heated Argument
The twelfth episode continued with Goo Woong and Yoo Babi's conversation as the latter went after Yumi who wasn't accepting his call. Worrying that something might happen to her, he rushed to the hospital and saw Yumi's ex-boyfriend.
The small talk turned into a tense conversation as Goo Woong took a swipe at Yoo Babi, pointing out how "someone" gets easily swayed by their emotions but Yumi was not like that.
Although Babi sensed that he was referring to him, he tried to be calm and polite but Goo Woong triggered Yoo Babi.
Thankfully, Yumi arrived at the hospital and saw how the duo's conversation got intense.
In one scene, Kim Yumi stopped Goo Wong from attacking Yoo Babi. Here, she made it clear to the two who her priority is.

Ruby and Control Z's Unique Friendship
Another surprising twist in "Yumi's cells 2" episode 12 is Control Z and Ruby's connection.
Ruby was surprised to see Yumi at their office but mentioned that she was there to introduce an illustrator. Control Z came out to the elevator and was drawn to Ruby's beauty. However, it was unclear whether he liked her or not because he found his attitude a bit odd but acknowledged that she was pretty.
The same goes for Ruby who compared Control Z to Choi Woogi. She finds him stylish and cute but not as handsome and dapper as Woogi.
At the meeting, Ruby managed to use her charms to Control Z but he resists it, and instead he used his cheesy tactic to annoy Ruby.
Are Kim Yumi and Yoo Babi's Relationship Drifting Apart?
In the latter part of "Yumi's Cells 2" episode 12, Yumi sensed that their relationship was not the same as before and feels as if they are drifting apart.
Right before Yoo Babi's birthday, he mentioned that his department sent him to the U.S for a business meeting.
Although she was disappointed as Yumi already made plans for his birthday, she understands him.
During his stay in the U.S, Yumi seldom talks to Yoo Babi and wasn't able to send photos of him during the trip. However, an unexpected thing happened after Yumi saw Yoo Babi hail a taxi. She followed him and went straight to his home.
At first, she initially thought that he was cheating on her but was surprised to see Yoo Babi had a cast on his leg. She felt bad for him but questioned why Yoo Babi didn't tell her first. He explained that he didn't want her to worry about him.
Their conversation gets emotional after he mentioned that he thinks Yumi regretted giving him a second chance.
Fortunately, the two managed to patch things up and Yoo Babi surprised Kim Yumi by asking her about getting married.
