On Tuesday, August 9, Kakao TV's original series "Accidental Country Diary" (literal translation) announced its premiere. The drama follows the stories of romance and day-to-day lives of the residents of the small village of Heedong.

Red Velvet Joy, who jumps to the work after the success of her previous drama, transforms into Ahn Ja Young, a police officer who will do anything to protect and cater to her co-residents' needs.

Meanwhile, Chu Young Woo proves his talents once again as Seoul veterinarian Han Ji Yool who moves to Heedong Village after receiving a phone call from his grandfather.

The actor recently dominated the small screen with his cider-like acting in the 2021 coming of age dramas "Police University" and "School 2021."

Finally, "The Witch's Diner" actor Baek Seung Cheol plays the role of Lee Sang Hyun, a young and handsome farmer who was born and raised in Heedong Village along with Ahn Ja Young.
