'Cafe Minamdang' Episode 16 Recap: A Look Back at Cha Do Won's Childhood
"Cafe Minamdang" Episode 16 starts with Prosecutor Cha having a talk with his longtime psychiatrist and discussing why there's a need to brainwash him and pin things on his older brother, Cha Seung Won.
At a young age, their father was worried about Cha Do Won's aggressive behavior and sought help from a psychiatrist to contain his urge to hurt someone.
The young boy underwent a series of tests under a psychiatrist. For their father, they have to protect Do Won since he sees him as a possible heir and not Seung Won.
As for the case of Seung Won's classmate, it was Cha Do Won who killed him by giving him poison and ended up strangling him.
With this, the psychiatrist has to erase this part of him in his memory to live a normal life.
At the present time, the psychiatrist was devastated to hear that Cha Do Won has started killing again and thinks that her "masterpiece" was a failure.

At the police station, Nam Han Joon laid out his plans and revealed to Han Jae Hee with his deal with Auntie Im. It made Jae Hee furious and shook her trust in him.
Little did they know that every piece of information is being delivered by Prosecutor Cha to Auntie Im and told him that Nam Han Joon had a plan to hand her to the police once he got the file.
With this, Auntie Im together with Prosecutor Cha and Gu Tae Soo, who escaped from the prison thanks to Do Won, prepared a plan to frame Nam Han Joon.
Nam Han Joon Gets Caught Up in Familiar Situation
In the last scene, Nam Han Joon and Han Jae Hee, along with Auntie Im and went to her temple.
The female shaman showed the duo the file that belongs to Prosecutor Han and promised to give it in return for her account.
However, after getting the money, Auntie Im locked Nam Han Joon and Han Jae Hee and was left unconscious.
Nam Han Joon woke up at Minamdang but saw a lifeless Autie Im in a pool of blood. To make things worse, he is holding the murder weapon.
The police came alongside Prosecutor Cha, arresting him for murder.
