CONFIRMED! Kim Tae Ri, Oh Jung Se To Star in New Drama Penned by ‘Kingdom’ Writer
Kim Tae Ri is teaming up with Oh Jung Se alongside Hong Kyung for the upcoming K-drama "The Demon."
In a report cited by SpoTV News, the trio has confirmed their appearance for the new series penned by the "Kingdom," "Jirisan" and "Signal" writer Kim Eun Hee.
Kim Tae Ri & Oh Jung Se Headline New Drama 'The Demon'
Helmed by "V.I. P" director Lee Jung Rim, "The Demon" is an occult mystery thriller that depicts the story of a woman possessed by a demon and a man who can see demons.
In the forthcoming series, Kim Tae Ri takes on the role of Gu San Young, a public servant who works with her part-time job by day and student at night.
For years, Gu San Young has been preparing for her civil service. Unfortunately, she was caught up in the mysterious deaths and bizarre scenarios after her father passed away.
Meanwhile, Oh Jung Se is set to play professor Yeom Hae Sang who teaches folklore.
In "The Demon," Yeom Hae Sang can see unexplainable creators including demons. With this, he and Gu San Young will dig into the mysterious deaths of five people.
Lastly, Hong Kyung portrays police Hong Sae Lee, a senior officer in the violent crime investigation unit. He gets associated with professor Yeom Hae Sang and Gu San Young as they embark on a special investigation.
In the same report, it states that "The Demon" plans to begin its production the soonest and aims to premiere in 2023.

The award-winning actress has her small screen comeback with the coming-of-age K-drama "Twenty-Five Twenty-One."
After four years, viewers get to see the actress' versatility as she plays fencing prodigy Na Hee Do, opposite Nam Joo Hyuk who plays Baek Yi Jin.
The rom-com series was among the most watched K-drama in the first half of the year, raking soaring viewership ratings.
With this, Kim Tae Ri took home Best Actress at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards for her performance in "Twenty Five, Twenty One."
Following the hit K-drama, Kim Tae Ro stars in the sci-fi action film "Alien" together with Kim Woo Bin and Ryu Jun Yeol as lead stars.

In an interview, the actress spoke about her role as Lee Ahn and described her as "kind, honest, and independent" but is also "emotional and very sensible" and knows how to control herself.
