Jeon Yeo Bin Reveals Surprising Reason for Appearing on Netflix’s ‘Glitch’ With Bare Face

Jeon Yeo Bin talks about her new K-drama "Glitch" and the preparation she did including acting with a bare face.

While the actress exudes a girl boss vibe in "Vincenzo," looking stunning in a sleek suit with her iconic bold red lip as she plays lawyer Hong Cha Young, the 33-year-old star surprised viewers with a different image in the Netflix series.

In an interview with the media, the actress spoke about her experience filming "Glitch."

As obtained by an outlet, the actress shared that the director asked her to look as raw as possible while portraying the character of Hong Ji Hyo.

With this, "Glitch" director Roh Deok, wanted Jeon yeo Bin to have more freckles on her face and had a subtle transformation as the story progresses.

"My face also got tanned during the filming, but I made it look more damaged," she said, adding that her character "looked neat and tidy in the first and second episodes, but as she began to run away with determination, her hair and face condition looked messier."

Jeon Yeo Bin also added that the production team did the same to fellow lead star Nana, who took the role of YouTube streamer Heo Bora, and appeared without makeup.

When asked about her thoughts about appearing in a series with a bar face, she gets honest and said that she "didn't feel pressured" acting without makeup.

"I liked how the raw feeling came out so well. But I think those who were looking forward to an appearance like in Vincenzo must have felt differently," she explained.

Another interesting detail that viewers noticed is Hong Ji Hyo's outfit as the character only wears striped shirts.

As the actress explained, Jeon Yeo Bin said that this is Ji Ho's way of expressing "her inner glitch."

Showing more of her character's personality, the actress revealed that Ji Ho may look like she was just wearing a single shirt but " actually appears with a different striped T-shirt in every episode."

Hong Ji Hyo is Created for Jeon Yeo Bin

"Glitch" is a Netflix original series that follows the story of Hong Ji Hyo's journey to find her missing boyfriend, Lee Si Guk, played by Lee Dong Hwi.

Ji Hyo, who believes in UFOs, aliens, and out-of-this-world creators gets reunited with her long-lost friend Heo Bora and agrees to team up to trace Si Guk's whereabouts.

In a separate report, Jeon Yeo Bin graced the Busan International Film Festival 2022, where "Glitch" was screened.

During an interview, it was revealed that the screenwriter had Jeon Yeo Bin in mind when Jo Ho's character was created.

As for the actress, she feels "honored" to play the role and briefly spoke about how Ji Ho and the story of "Glitch" was created.

The writer said that his wife told him about her experience of seeing aliens so he developed that story into 'Glitch.'"

Jeon Yeo Bin and Nana's K-drama is a 10-part episode series released on October 7 and exclusively available on Netflix.
