However, as things get exciting with the trio's complicated situation, the rom-com K-drama struggles to keep its ratings up.

As cited by Nielsen Korea, "Love in Contract" episode 9 grapples to maintain its ratings after scoring an average nationwide rating of 2.679 percent.

It was a major decree from its previous episode which is a decrease of 3.6 percent.

Cast and Where to Watch 'Love in Contract'

Released on September 21, the 16-part episode K-drama follows the story of a wife-for-hire professional named Choi Sang Eun (Park Min Young) who has a long-term client, Jung Ji Ho (Go Kyung Pyo.)

However, as she planned to have her retirement, a new client reached out to him. Controversial actor Kang Hae Jin (Kim Jae Young) becomes Sang Eun's client every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday while Ji Ho kept his original schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Airing every Wednesday and Thursday, the rom-com series airs on tvN and is also available through Viki for subtitles.

'Love in Contract' Episode 9: Jung Ji Ho's Reunion With Ex-Wife

Episode 9 continues with Jung Ji Ho unexpectedly meets his ex-wife, Jung Ji Eun after he invited Choi Sang Eun to his place.

However, in the lobby, Kang Hae Jin introduced Sang Eun to his legal adviser, who happens to be Ji Eun.

Interestingly, Jung Ji Ho and Jung Ji Eun's past was highlighted in "Love in Contract" episode 9, showing a glimpse of how they got to know each other.

At the dormitory, Ji Ho saved Ji Eun by telling the landlord, who has been harassing her that they are siblings.

Jung Ji Eun asked Ji Ho to pretend that he is her older brother for the time being and the rest is history for the two.

However, it appears like they've ended their relationship on a bad note after Jung Ji Ho suffered trauma resulting in him hiring Sang Eun.

Kang Hae Jin Kisses Choi Sang Eun in Front of Jung Ji Ho

Another highlight of "Love in Contract" episode 9 is Jung Ji Ho trying to confess his feelings to Sang Eun but got failed.

After drinking too hard, he mistakes Kang Hae Jin for the mysterious man who has been following Sang Eun.

He got knocked out but Sang Eun and Kang Hae Jin brought him along with them.

In one scene, both Sang Eun and Ji Ho were so drunk that they couldn't remember what they said.

However, what he recalled was a man kissing Choi Sang Eun.

The next day, he thought that it was a bad dream but Kang Hae Jin said he and Sang Eun are in a mutual relationship, leaving Ji Ho devastated.

Interestingly, Jung Ji Ho stepped up his A-game and admitted his feelings to Sang Eun by kissing him inside the car.

Will his action become a hindrance to their contract or will this be a start of a budding romance?
