The actress received high praises for her acting in the pilot week of the drama. It is believed that "May I Help You" is Girl's Day Hyeri's best work that puts an end to her archetypal K-Drama acting roles.

Girl's Day Hyeri proves that she's a star as she ventures more into acting! Since she made her television debut, the singer-turned-actress has paired up with the most popular stars in many top notch works.

This 2022, she returns to the small screen with the mystery drama "May I Help you" after her historical series "Moonshine" in 2021.

"May I Help You" follows the story of two strangers who both have errands to do to fulfill their jobs. The drama achieved a promising rating of 3.9% during its first week of broadcast.

In the series, Girl's Day Hyeri transforms into Baek Dong Ju, a funeral director who grants wishes of the dead after witnessing her own mother's demise.

Fulfilling the wishes of the deceased is a recurring theme in South Korean works, including the dramas "Hotel del Luna," "Hi Bye, Mama!," "Mystic Pop-up Bar" and more.

What makes "May I Help You" stand out is that the main characters in the drama who grants the wishes of the dead are completely ordinary people who have acquired special abilities along the way.

Because of this, Girl's Day Hyeri's character had a hard time accepting her new reality, bringing a comedic vibe to the mystery drama.

In particular, Girl's Day Hyeri once again made noise in the global entertainment scene for her performance in "May I Help You."

From appearing in "Reply 1988" to "My Roommate Is A Gumiho" up to the historical drama "Moonshine" that aired last year, Girl's Day Hyeri has been criticized for taking on similar roles-the vivacious and cheery female lead.

Fans believed that Girl's Day Hyeri's acting was lackluster, so much so that the actress has stuck with the same roles from the past.
