Kim Go Eun Reveals Why ‘Yumi’s Cells’ is the Project that Made her ‘Want to Fall in Love’

Kim Go Eun talks about her love for fans, career, and recent projects including "Yumi's Cells" and "Little Women."

The 31-year-old actress is among South Korean celebrities chosen by Elle Korea to grace the publication's special issue.

Dubbed as "The Icons" the actress joins BLACKPINK's Jennie, G-Dragon, Gong Yoo, Lee Sung Kyung, and Park Seo Joon in collaboration with the luxury brand, Chanel.

In the interview, Kim Go Eun shared her thoughts about his 2022 K-dramas starting with "Yumi's Cells."

Kim Go Eun on Lessons She Learned in 'Yumi's Cells'

Based on the webtoon of the same name, "Yumi's Cells" is Kim Go Eun's comeback to the small screen after the successful season of "The King: Eternal Monarch."

The 14-episode series follows the story of Kim Yumi, an ordinary office girl whose emotions, feelings, and actions are being controlled by her cells.

The rom-com series revolves around Yumi's journey on finding her true love.

During her interview with Elle Korea, she was asked to pick a work or scene that she felt most romantic and chose "Yumi's Cells."

Kim Go Eun explained that this is the series that made her think that dating and relationships are "beautiful and heartbreaking" at the same time.

"It was a work that made me want to fall in love," she said, adding that "Yumi's Cells" shows the realistic side of romance.

Moreover, the actress shared that she had a great time during the production because she was able to express the daily life of her character.

In "Yumi's Cells" Kim Go Eun stars with Ahn Bo Hyun and GOT7's Jinyoung who played her former ex-boyfriends.

Kim Go Eun on Her Perspective About Money After Starring in 'Little Women'

Besides "Yumi's Cells" one of her 2022 Kdrama is the novel-based series "Little Women" where she played the eldest sister Oh In Joo.

In the series, her character is someone who values and talks about money a lot. That is because she wants her family to get out of poverty and live paycheck to paycheck.

For Kim Go Eun, she gets honest and shares that she used to think about money during her younger years.

However, although it would be nice if a family would not worry too much about money, for Kim Go Eun money does not guarantee happiness.

The release of the magazine comes after Kim Go Eun's fan meeting.

After five years, the actress finally met her fans face to face and entertained them with song and dance numbers.
