‘Under the Queen’s Umbrella’ Cast: Meet the Actors Who Played Grand Princes in Kim Hye Soo’s New Drama
Despite the controversy, tvN's "Under the Queen's Umbrella" has been receiving positive responses from the viewers. There's no denying that aside from the intriguing storyline, the cast lineup is the reason viewers get hooked with every episode.
Veteran stars starting with Kim Hye Soo, who transforms into Queen Im Hwa Ryung, is the mother of five young royals including the Crown Prince.
However, the drama illustrates how she needs to step up her A-game in order to protect her sons and the throne against the King's mother, Queen Dowager Cho played by Kim Hae Sook.
tvN's historical K-drama focuses on Queen Im Hwa Ryung's mission to save the Crown Prince and look after the well-being of the grand princes while they are in the palace.

Bae In Hyuk as Crown Prince
The 24-year-old actor took the role of the heir of the King. Being the Crown Prince, he is next in line to fulfill the duty of someone who has a b biggest responsibility in the Kingdom.
Despite being a perfect fit to be the next king, the Crown Prince's deteriorating health led to his death; however, the Queen thinks that there is a bigger picture behind it.
"Under the Queen's Umbrella" is among Bae In Hyuk's drama this 2022 as he headlines various series this year.

Apart from the historical K-drama, he also starred in "Cheer-Up" and acted as law student Choi Yoon Sang in "Why Her?" with Seo Hyun Jin.

Moon Sang Min as Grand Prince Seongnam
Since the Crown Prince is busy gearing up to be the next King, Grand Prince Seongnam steps up to be the protector of his younger brothers.
He may be hot-tempered but he loves his siblings dearly, especially the Crown Prince.
Grand Prince Seongnam is played by the 22-year-old actor Moon Sang Mon who joined the cast of "My Name."
Interestingly, he recently made headlines after being rumored to be dating Han So Hee who was among the lead stars of the Netflix series.
Yoo Sun Ho as Grand Prince Gyeseong
In the earlier episode of "Under the Queen's Umbrella" Grand Prince Gyeseong's secret was revealed after he was caught dressing as a woman.
The likable grand prince is played by rookie actor Yoo Sun Ho. The 20-year-old actor had his first K-drama appearance in the 2017 series "Devil Inspector" however in the same year, he also made his debut as a singer after joining the survival reality program, "Produce 101" Season 2.
Yoon Sang Hyun as Grand Prince Muan
"Under the Queen's Umbrella" illustrates Grand Prince Muan as someone who prioritizes women over his study and has no interest in becoming the next king.
The character is played by rookie actor Yoon Sang Hyun. Interestingly, the historical K-drama is his debut project.
Park Ha Jun as Grand Prince Il Young
The youngest among the queen's sons is Grand Prince Il Young portrayed by Park Ha Jun.
The 16-year-old actor also appeared as supporting characters in K-dramas such as "Plus Nine Boys" as his acting debut, followed by "Still Loving You," "Voice 2," "Top Star Yoo Baek" "Graceful Friends" and a bit part in "The Killer's Shopping List."
