The new drama is a remake of the hit French series "Call My Agent!" that focuses on the lives of managers and top stars as they face challenges along the way.

Joining the race, the weekday series is off with a promising start.
"Behind Every Star" episode 1 garnered an average nationwide viewership rating of 3.71 percent, as cited by Nielsen Korea.
Helmed by "Pegasus Market" director Baek Seung Ryong, the 12-part episode series airs every Monday and Tuesday, taking over "Mental Coach Jegal."
Viewers could catch the series via tvN and Netflix for subtitles.

The rom-com series began with the top star Cho Yeo Jeong gearing up for her Hollywood project along with her agent Kim Jung Don (Seo Hyun Woo.)
She has been taking horse riding lessons which are part of her upcoming project with none other than Quintin Tarantino.
However, while the actress is on her shoot, Kim Jung Don received a call notifying him that Cho Yeo Jeong's appearance would be canceled because the director thinks she was too old for the role.
Devastated with the sudden news, he returns to his office, Method Entertainment, where he shared that he couldn't tell Cho Yeo Jeong about it since he knew that it would crush her.
Due to this, he has been avoiding the top star.

"Behind Every Star" episode 1 also featured Joo Hyun Young as So Hyun Joo.
She wanted to be an agent and used her connection through director Ma Tae Oh. However, he is hesitant to refer to Hyun Young, maybe it is because he knows how challenging the work of an agency is.
Despite this, she is still eager to be in the industry and promised to keep their relationship secret.
At this point, the drama did not reveal they're true relationship, but it seemed like she is Director Ma's daughter.
Right before leaving the building, Chun Je In (Kwak Sun Young), one of the tenured agents left by her assistant.
Feeling devastated and desperate to find a replacement, So Hyun Joo shoot her shot, and fortunately, she was accepted by Chun Je In and asked her to start immediately.
At this point, Director Ma is clueless that So Hyun Joo and him are working in the same company.
On the other hand, Kim Jung Don dropped the news to his co-worker along with the CEO, Wang Tae Ja (Lee Hwang Eui.)
Of course, the whole team felt frustrated, but the CEO left Kim Jung Don words of wisdom, saying that he needs to be careful and take care of how he will bring the news to Cho Yeo Jeong.
While he took some time to figure out how he would deliver the shocking news to the top star, So Hyun Joo, who was unaware of what was happening, tried to lift Cho Yeo Jeong's spirit during her visit to the office.
The rookie agent wished the actress good luck which made Cho Yeo Jeong confused.
She asked the rookie and told her that she was dropped from the Tarantino project because of her age.
Due to this, she confronted her agent, Kim Jung Don, hinting that she would not renew her contract.
Director Ma saw this as an opportunity to get the top star and transfer her to his upcoming agency.
She tried to get the Tarantino project and even asked Cho Yeo Jeong to alter her face through a procedure.
The news about the top star leaving Method Entertainment reached Kim Jung Don. she tried to convince Cho Yeo Jeong and explained why it took him so long to deliver the news.
Thankfully the top star was able to understand it and continue working under Method Entertainment.
Just when they thought that everything was settled, the staff received the sad news. Kim Jung Don got a call from abroad saying that CEO Wang Tae Ja passed away.
