‘Love in Contract’ Season 2: Will Park Min Young, Go Kyung Pyo, Kim Jae Young Return for Sequel?

"Love in Contract" which stars Park Min Young, Go Kyung Pyo and Kim Jae Young delivered a different kind of romantic comedy. 

Apart from depicting modern-day relationships the series also touched on the characters' past experiences, struggling with their own inner child and trauma. 

'Love in Contract' Viewership Rating

After premiering with a good start, "Love in Contract" struggled to keep the ratings up. 

From a 3.99 percent average nationwide rating, which is also considered their highest throughout the season, the tvN rom-com series dwindled between 2 and 3 percent and eventually wrapped up the season with an average nationwide rating of 3.1 percent. 

Despite this, "Love in Contract" took first place in its time slot across all cable channels. 

'Love in Contract' Cast

Helmed by "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," "100 Days My Prince," and "My Roommate Is a Gumiho," director Nam Sung Woo, "Love in Contract" depicts the story of a professional wife for hire who gets caught up with her two clients. 

Choi Sang Eun, played by Park Min Young is a daughter of a chaebol but had to run away from home after discovering the family's plan for her. 

Starting from scratch, she made a living by offering her service to men who needed someone to accompany them in gatherings, pretending to be their girlfriend or wife. 

With the hope of retiring, she planned to have Jung Ji Ho as his last client. 

He is a young-looking judge who is also Sang Eun's longtime client. 

However, her plan got blocked by controversial celebrity Kang Hae Jin who needed Sang Eun;'s service.

With this, Ji Ho remained with the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule while Hae Jin got the Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. 

Joining the trio is Lee Joo Bin as Ji Ho's former wife Jung Ji Eun while Jin Kyung from "Dr. Romantic, acts as Lady Jaimie's nanny Yoo Mi Ho. 

Will 'Love in Contract' Return to Season 2? 

As of this writing, there were no official statements or hints stating that the K-Drama series "Love in Contract" will be renewed for another season. 

With this, the status of the rom-com series is yet to be confirmed by tvN and drama officials. 

'Love in Contract' Cast Bids Goodbye to Viewers

While the tvN series is unconfirmed if it will return for season 2, the cast members expressed their gratitude as they bid goodbye to viewers. 

Go Kyung Pyo says "Love in Contract" is a drama that means a lot to him. 

"I sincerely thank those who enjoyed watching our drama, and I deeply hope that there will be a day when I can greet you again with a different kind of good acting," he said, as obtained by a media outlet. 

The same goes for Park Min Young and Kim Jae Young who are also grateful for the support of the viewers since day one.
