Kim Tae Ri Courted To Lead Webtoon-Based Drama 'Jung Nyeon'
On November 16, it has been reported that Kim Tae Ri is being courted to headline the series "Jung Nyeon" (working title). It is based on a story of a Mokpo lady who had nothing but a natural talent for singing.
Furthermore, the series is a period drama and follows the story of Yoon Jung Nyeon, who enters a women's Korean traditional theater company because of her ambition to become rich.
If Kim Tae Ri accepts the offer, she will play the character of Yoon Jung Nyeon, a researcher at the Maeran Gukgeuk Company. It is expected that a period drama that is centered on women's narratives will be born, featuring Kim Tae Ri's unique pleasant, and confident charm.

Studio N will produce the popular webtoon of the same name, which began serialization through Naver Webtoon in April 2019.

In addition, the writer of the webtoon confessed that the character image was based on Kim Tae Ri's previous role in "The Handmaiden."
According to the report, the person in charge of the webtoon said that he completed the character with the help of Kim Tae Ri's role in the 2016 film, "The Handmaiden."
The actress is also the top choice for virtual casting among fans. When the cast is finally completed, the drama production will start filming in the second half of 2023.
Kim Tae Ri Booked For New Dramas in 2023
Previously, Kim Tae Ri also received multiple drama offers. She is about to reunite with scriptwriter Kim Eun Hee as she confirmed her appearance in the forthcoming SBS series "Demon," also known as "The Devil."
The thriller drama is scheduled to air next year. Beyond that, the female star also confirmed to appear in "The Age of Retirement" (working title) signaling her hard work in 2023.
Thanks to her drama comeback with "Twenty Five, Twenty One," Kim Tae Ri was able to win the viewers' hearts with her acting and strong presence on screen. The series also gave her the ticket to gain numerous awards.
Last May 6, she bagged two trophies in the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards. Kim Tae Ri has won the Most Popular Actress and the Best Actress for her excellent performance in the tvN drama.
She also made her big screen return with "Alienoid" earlier this year. Now that she is booked for new projects, local and international fans are already looking forward to her much-awaited acting comeback next year.
