‘Reborn Rich’ Episode 1: Betrayed Song Joong Ki Returns as Third-Generation Chaebol
The D-day has come as viewers witnessed the much-awaited pilot episode of "Reborn Rich" starring Song Joong Ki, Lee Sung Min, Shin Hyun Bin, and more
Helmed by "King2Hearts," "I am Not a Robot," "W" and "She Was Pretty" director Jeong Dae Yun, the newly released K-drama is based on the web novel "Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" which depicts the story of a loyal employee of Soonyang who was framed by one of the heirs and was reborn as a member of the family who betrayed him.

In the revenge drama series, Song Joong Ki returns to the small screen with an interesting role as he plays Yoon Hyun Woo, a senior manager of Soonyang who worked with the company for five years.
He is known as one of the loyal employees and would devote his life to Soonyang and its family.
"Reborn Rich" also features veteran actor Lee Sung Min as the founder and chairman of the whole conglomerate, Jin Yang Chul, while Shin Hyun Bin took the role of Prosecutor Seo Min Young, the grim reaper of Soonyang group.
Joining the lead stars are Jo Han Chul, Kim Young Jae, Kim Nam Hee, Jo Hye Joo, and Kim Shin Rok as the grandsons and daughter of Jin Yang Chul.
Interestingly, "Reborn Rich" episode 1 showcased a surprise appearance of GOT's Jinyoung as Song Joong Ki's junior in Soonyang Group.

Airing thrice a week, Song Joong Ki's new drama is broadcasted every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with its pilot episode aired on November 18.

'Reborn Rich' Episode 1 Recap
The much-awaited K-drama of 2021 delivered an impressive pilot episode.
"Reborn Rich" episode 1 starts by hinting at Yoon Hyun Woo's discovery after retrieving a huge amount of money overseas.

The next scene featured the preparation of a significant event for Soonyang Group; however, right before the ceremony, Jin Seong Joon, the vice chairman, had an intense conversation with his father, Jin Young Ki resulting in him having a heart attack.
On the other hand, Mr. Yoon was curious about the whereabouts of the chairman and the vice president.
Thankfully, he checked the chairman's office and saw Jin Young Ki lying on the ground and was having a heart attack.
Guilty of the situation, Jin Seong Joon left his father and went straight to his office.
However, despite the situation, the ceremony needs to continue. With the chairman in a critical stage at the hospital, Jin Seong Joon needs to commence the event in replacement of his father.
Surprisingly, the staff found Jin Seong Joon going ballistic at his office but Mr. Yoon, being a dedicated employee, convinced him to start the ceremony.
Thankfully, the family was able to finish the event without the media revealing the chairman's status.
As the pilot episode continues, Mr. Yoon's junior retrieved an important file labeled as the "micro project."
Upon checking, he found out that it was a 600 million slush fund that serves as the company's dummy account that only exists on paper.
Mr. Yoon immediately told this to his superior, Mr. Kim but he got rid of the evidence and warned him not to talk about it.
Still confused with his bombshell discovery, Yoon Hyun Woo bumps into the vice chairman and takes the opportunity to reveal the slush fund by presenting him the copy.
The vice chairman called Mr. Kim and got furious that he had been keeping this a secret.
As for Yoon Hyun Woo, he was tasked to claim the funds overseas before the prosecutor investigates the case.
In a foreign country, he encountered an unexpected situation. His junior was instructed to kill him by the people "who need the slush fund."
The next scene, Yoon Hyun Woow was reborn as the youngest member of the Jin family, Jin Doo Joon, and was able to meet the Soonyang founder, Jin Yang Chul.
