One of the highly anticipated K-dramas this 2022 is none other than Song Joong Ki's comeback series "Reborn Rich."
Also known as "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" the upcoming K-drama transforms the South Korean heartthrob into a revenge-driven person who was reborn as a chaebol's son.
Ahead of the "Reborn Rich" premiere, Song Joong Ki spoke about his expectations and thoughts about the forthcoming series.
Song Joong Ki Dishes On What to Expect in 'Reborn Rich'
In a report cited by a media outlet, the 37-year-old top star hints at what to expect from his K-drama comeback.
For "Reborn Rich" Song Joong Ki says that the series not just focuses on the story of the chaebol family but also on an interesting event that happened in the past.
It includes the tense confrontation between Sunyang Group's chairman Jin yang Chul, played by veteran actor Lee Sung Min and his grandson, Jin Do Joon, played by the top star.
Based on the web novel "Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" Song Joong Ki plays the dual role of Yoon Hyun Woo, a loyal employee of Sunyang who will do everything for the company and his boss. However, he was framed for embezzlement and was murdered by one of the heirs.

Interestingly, he was reborn as a member of the chaebol's body and took it as an opportunity for his long-awaited revenge of taking over the company.
With this, Song Joong Ki urged viewers to "pay attention" to Yoon Hyun Woo's death and the reason as well as the person who was behind his murder.
Why 'Reborn Rich' Is Special for Song Joong Ki
The upcoming web novel-based K-drama is his return to the small screen after headlining one of the most successful series of 2021, "Vincenzo."
During the interview, Song Joong Ki revealed that "Reborn Rich" is a work that he has been preparing for a very long time.
"It was filmed across the past and the present, and it would be nice if you could look forward to the result of passionate work" he explained.
In addition, he also expressed confidence in his comeback project, making sure that the viewers will love it as much as his previous K-dramas.
"I am confident that you will enjoy watching it if you trust and follow the feelings of Jin-Joon and Yoon Hyun-woo from the first broadcast to the end," he said.
Cast, Release Date, and Where to Watch 'Reborn Rich'
Besides Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min, the "Reborn Rich" cast includes Shin Hyun bin as Prosecutor Seo Min Young who investigates the anomalies of the Sunyang Group.
In addition, viewers will also get to see on-screen romance Yoon Je Moon, Jo Han Chul, Kim Nam Hee, Girls' Generation's Tiffany, and more.
"Reborn Rich" will air thrice a week every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting November 18 via JTBC, Viki, ViuTV, and Netflix Korea.
