Seolhyun Stirs Buzz For 'Summer Strike' Eating Scene

"Summer Strike," Seolhyun and Im Siwan's first-ever series together, finally entered its second week of broadcast!

Since its premiere, many viewers anticipate its new episodes, falling instantly into its romantic elements. The drama follows the story of a burnt out employee who quits her job, and goes to an unfamiliar countryside to live a free life while searching for her peace of mind.

On Tuesday, November 29, "Summer Strike" released its fourth episode and decorated the small screen with warmth as Lee Yeo Reum, played by Seolhyun, begins to warm up to her once hostile neighbors.

However, the thing that aroused the viewers' interest was the eating scene of the actress. Seolhyun's gukbap (rice soup), sundae (blood sausage) and soju (South Korean alcohol) eating scene became an instant topic online.

The actress ate with so much gusto like in a mukbang (eating show), which impressed the viewers. Seolhyun showed her admiration for the food combination, and clearly enjoyed her meal and daytime drinking.

Through this, Seolhyun became a person who loves to eat, and who knows how to make her food even more scrumptious. Many viewers expressed their thoughts, saying that they felt hungry when they watched her eat.

"I want to eat sundae and gukbap now because of Yeo Reum," one viewer stated.

Girl's Day Hyeri, Lee Sung Kyung and Jeon Mi Do are a few of the actresses who owned their eating scenes in K-dramas. Seolhyun's eating scene, despite being short, left a great impression on the viewers.

Meanwhile, Seolhyun's healing drama "Summer Strike" airs every Monday and Tuesday at 9:20 p.m. KST ENA channel!

Seolhyun Dishes Out Thoughts on Becoming Lee Yeo Reum

Seolhyun has been booked and busy since she made her debut, especially when she ventured more into acting.

Like her character in "Summer Strike," Lee Yeo Reum, she experiences burnout and stress almost all the time due to hectic schedules.

"I'm 99% similar to my character, which is why I was adamant on doing the project," Seolhyun admitted. "I found comfort in her."

When asked if she'd be able to quit everything and live a peaceful life in the countryside like Lee Yeo Reum, Seolhyun hesitated to answer, saying, "It's a difficult decision."

"Lee Yeo Reum had been in through a lot of experiences before she decided to quit everything. So far, I haven't experienced such things that will make me throw away everything," Seolhyun reasoned.

Through "Summer Strike," Seolhyun hopes to give a warm tight hug to viewers who are at a difficult time in their lives.
