'Summer Strike' Episode 6: Lee Yeo Reum Comforts Kim Bom
The sixth episode of "Summer Strike" begins with Kim Bom (Shin Eun Soo), a young student who frequents Ahn Dae Beom's (Im Siwan) library.
Though she loves books and reading, Kim Bom has always been known as a troubled student. It is revealed that she always goes to the library to escape her chaotic household.
Like Lee Yeo Reum (Seolhyun), Kim Bom also wants to be free. Kim Bom's father is an alcoholic, making it hard for her to be with him in the same space. In addition to that, she is always bullied in school.

Though they started off on the wrong foot, Kim Bom seeks comfort from Lee Yeo Reum. The two spend their time talking to one another, sharing each other's woes and dreams.
Lee Yeo Reum, who's looking for a friend in an unfamiliar place, also finds solace in Kim Bom's presence; a symbol of a new beautiful friendship.
Angok Village Residents' Camaraderie
In the next scene, Kim Bom gets severely injured while in a heated argument with his father. Unfortunately, her family has no means to pay for the hospital bills.
To get her insurance, Kim Bom's family needs to reveal that she's battered by her own father. However, she didn't want to tell it to other people because she still wants to protect him despite it all.
Kim Bom's father shows remorse and promises her that he will go to a rehabilitation center to get better, which touched Lee Yeo Reum's heart.

To help Kim Bom, Lee Yeo Reum, Bae Sung Min (Kwak Min Gyu) and Heo Jae Hoon (Bang Jae Min) try to raise money for Kim Bom's hospital bills by selling some of their personal items.
It turns out that the hospital bills have been paid already by Ahn Dae Beom. Meanwhile, Kim Bom expresses her gratitude to her Angok friends, especially Lee Yeo Reum, whom she now sees as an older sister.
At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Ahn Dae Beom was a genius physicist in the past until he had conflicts with his colleague, which pushed him to go back home.
