Park Eun Bin's To Potentially Star in 'Diva of Deserted Island'

Based on the report cited by Sports Chosun on December 14, an official from the entertainment industry informed that Park Eun Bin is being courted to portray the main protagonist of the new drama "Diva of Deserted Island."

In particular, "Diva of Deserted Island" is a collaborative work of Park Hye Ryun and Oh Choong Hwan, writer and director of hit K-dramas "Start-Up" and "While You Were Sleeping."

The upcoming drama is a romantic-comedy that tells the story of a girl who drifted on a deserted island in an accident and her journey adapting to the new world she has been isolated from. She was discovered 15 years later.

Park Eun Bin is offered to play Mok Ha, a girl who dreamed of being a singer, but fate brings her to the deserted island instead. She was selected for the UCC contest while working on becoming a singer.

The actress is drawing attention, and expectations are already high. On the other hand, Park Eun Bin will show her talent in singing and her dialect in the series.

Meanwhile, in response to the news, Park Eun Bin's current agency Namoo Actors confirmed that the actress received a casting offer for the drama and is currently reviewing it.

Park Eun Bin has completely established herself as top actress after receiving multiple awards this year. She ranked first as the most notable actor for this year according to Gallup Korea, even surpassing Kim Hye Soo and Song Joong Ki.

She received praise and attention since headlining the legal drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," alongside Kang Tae Oh. The series became a megahit and was consistent in breaking rating records during its run.

If she accepts the project offer for "Diva of Deserted Island," it will mark her first drama comeback after ENA Channel's "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."

Meanwhile, other stars who might join the cast are yet to be revealed soon. The rom-com series will start production in 2023 once the cast is already complete. It will also be released sometime next year.

Some of Park Eun Bin's famous works are "Hot Stove League," "Do You Like Brahms?," and "The King's Affection," which won best drama series at this year's Emmy Awards.
