The reason she feels like an outcast in the office is because of her educational background.
"The Interest of Love" episode 2 showcased how Soo Young feels belittled by her co-workmates because she didnt got a chance to go to college. After high school, she moved out of her parents place and transferred to Seoul to work.
Working odd jobs and various part time work, she was able to enter KCU Bank as a clerk and now works as a senior representative.
However, she gets bullied and talked about by others because of her educational attainment. It is also the reason why she doesn't hang out with her colleagues often and eats alone during lunch break.
Moreover, she also thinks that distancing herself from others would help her survive.

One of the highlights in "The Interest of Love" episode 2 is the new branch manager Park Mi Kyung. The staff members are swooned over by her beauty and class, far different from An Soo Young.
Interestingly, the new employee also knew Ha Sang Soo and So Kyung Pil, which is why her first close workmate is none other than Sang Soo.
Their colleagues also saw how close they are. Hence, it's why they are shipping the two. But for Ha Sang Soo, he clarified that Park Mi Kyung was his college classmate.
