The long wait is over with the much-awaited return of Lee Je Hoon as Kim Do Ki in "Taxi Driver 2"! After more than a year of waiting, finally, the beloved anti-hero is back for more thrilling cases along, with the Rainbow Taxi group.
'Taxi Driver 2' Teaser: SBS Releases Trailer for Lee Je Hoon's Drama
Months after "Taxi Driver 2" received a green light for the sequel, SBS unveiled the drama's first official trailer featuring Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Jin, together with Jang Hyuk Jin, and Bae Yoo Ram as the secret organization who avenges victims that the law wasn't able to protect.
The story revolves around a mysterious taxi service, led by a former special forces officer. He and his team seek justice on behalf of victims.
In the newest trailer, Kim Do Ki puts on his iconic jacket and sunglasses as he gears up for another thrilling mission along with the dispatch signal saying "5283 operation starts."
Interestingly, as for the show's season 2, Rainbow Taxi group is set to expand its radar and will have operations in Vietnam, hunting sneaky villains.
The "Taxi Driver 2" trailer also showcased an upgraded new model ride and show-stopping action scenes that will surely keep viewers at the edge of their seats.
From visuals to cast members, Lee je Hoon's new drama hints at the new villain stimulating curiosity among the viewers.
'Taxi Driver 2' Release Date, Cast
Helmed by Lee Dan, the "Taxi Driver 2" release date is set on February 17, airing every Friday and Saturday. It will have 16 episodes just like the first season and will air via SBS at 10 pm KST.
Apart from Lee Je Hoon, viewers will see familiar and new faces including Kim Eui Sung and Pyo Ye Jin as lead stars while transportation engineer duo Jang Hyuk Jin and Bae Yoo Ram complete the Rainbow taxi group.

Unfortunately, Esom will not reprise her role as Prosecutor Kang Ha Na due to a conflict in schedule. To recall, her character gained surprise from fans after the season 1 finale episode featured a change of heart.
However, after SBS officially announced the return of the beloved anti-hero only five stars were confirmed to reprise their roles.
At the time, the network hints at what to expect in the upcoming sequel.
"We are fully prepared to present a more fun and in-depth Season 2 so that we can repay you for your love for Season 1," a representative of the production team shared as obtained by a media outlet.
