5 K-Dramas To Premiere in 2023: ‘Dr Romantic 3,’ ‘Taxi Driver 2,’ More Drop Exciting Teasers

K-drama fans will kick-start the new year with a bunch of amazing shows! As January 2023 begins, multiple Korean dramas like "Dr. Romantic 3," "Taxi Driver 2," and more excite the viewers after dropping sneak peeks of what to anticipate.

1. 'Dr. Romantic 3'

Returning this year is the long-awaited third installment of the megahit medical-romance series "Dr. Romantic."

In a short clip provided by SBS, the drama's lead stars, Han Suk Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Sung Kyung, and Kim Min Jae, hint at their new and upcoming adventure.

Apart from the teaser, the series is expected to meet viewers this April. The exact date and time slots are yet to be confirmed.

2. 'Taxi Driver 2'

The righteous and cool guy Kim Do Ki (Lee Je Hoon) is ready for a bigger and more intense fight with his squad. It is expected that Kim Do Ki, who hunts opponents in Vietnam, will be able to expand his radius of activities overseas. 

In addition, car chasing, which has been added dynamically due to the upgraded model of the taxi and intense actions that have increased destructive power, gives a pleasant catharsis, while the emergence of new villains is also implied, stimulating curiosity in viewers.

"Taxi Driver 2" is scheduled to premiere on February 17 at 10 p.m. (KST) on SBS.

3. 'Flower Scholars' Love Story'

Making its debut on primetime this March is SBS' historical-romance series "Flower Scholars' Love Story," starring Shin Ye Eun, Ryeo Un, Kang Hoon, and Jung Gun Joo.

According to the production team, this work will melt the viewers' hearts as it is full of fresh and adorable synergy of its talented and young cast. The audience should also anticipate the characters' adventurous and fun journeys.

4. 'The Demon'

Following her successful small-screen comeback in 2022 with "Twenty Five, Twenty One," Kim Tae Ri will have her new drama starting this June.

She will join forces with Oh Jung Se and Hong Kyung to figure out the truth behind the mysterious deaths related to the five sacred objects.

5. 'The Escape of Seven'

This follows the desperate escape of seven individuals who are involved in the case of a missing girl and whose lives are entangled with desires, secrets, and lies. The drama is composed of big stars including; Uhm Ki Joon, Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Joon, Yoon Jong Hoon, Shin Eun Kyung, Lee Yoo Bi, Jo Yoon Hee, and veteran actor Lee Deok Hwa.

"The Escape of Seven" will kick off in September 2023.
