‘Taxi Driver Season 2’ Teaser Features Kim Eui Sung’s Secret Double Life

SBS is gearing up with interesting still cuts teasing viewers on what to expect in the much-awaited "Taxi Driver" season 2.

Finally, the long wait is over for viewers who waited more than a year to see the Rainbow Taxi team headed by its founder Jang Sung Chul, played by Kim Eui Sung.

One month before the highly-anticipated premiere, the broadcast network released more stills featuring Kim Eui Sung's character.

Will 'Taxi Driver' Season 2 Highlight Kim Eui Sung's Character?

As seen in the latest teaser of "Taxi Driver" season 2, the Rainbow Taxi group founder Jang Sung Chul, who also organizes the BlueBird Foundation, illustrates different emotions, sparking speculations about the character.

In one of the stills, he is seen guarding the headquarters alone after sending the team on a special mission.

However, the other teasers illustrate how Jang Sung Chul starts acting suspiciously while working alone in the underground hideout.

With this, it raised curiosity about his mission of creating the organization, hinting about the character's secret double.

As obtained by a media outlet, the production team revealed key points to anticipate in the upcoming season, especially with Kim Eui Sung's role.

"In Season 2, the members of Rainbow Taxi Group, including CEO Jang, are expected to actively participate as players in the multiple agency service," adding, "Enhanced team play and upgraded character play compared to season 1 will provide more colorful enjoyment."

'Taxi Driver 2' Cast and Release Date

Based on the webtoon "The Deluxe Taxi," "Taxi Driver," which stars Lee Je Hoon, follows the story of a former Special Forces officer named Kim Do Ki, whose family was murdered by a serial killer.

Following his mother's tragic death, he received a call from Rainbow Taxi Group CEO Jang Sung Chul and offered him a secret mission. That is to avenge victims whom the law didn't protect.

Joining him on the special task is Ahn Go Eun, played by Pyo Ye Jin, IT specialist and hacker of the team, along with mechanic duo Park Jin Eon and Choi Kyung Goo played by Bae Yoo Ram and Jang Hyuk Jin.

For the new season, "Taxi Driver 2" the show will feature the same characters except for Esom, who played prosecutor Kang Han Na. due to her schedule conflicts, she won't be returning to the upcoming season.

As for the new characters, the SBS revenge action series will feature "My Unfamiliar Family" star Shin Jae Ha. he will transform as On Ha Joon, the new driver at Rainbow Taxi group.

SBS will release "Taxi Driver Season 2" on February 17 airing every Friday and Saturday.

Like in the previous season, the second season will have 16 episodes in total.
