Shin Ye Eun Bagged ‘The Glory’ Role Because Of THIS

Shin Ye Eun Reveals Casting Journey For 'The Glory'
Prior to the release of the second part of the drama, Shin Ye Eun shared how she was cast as Park Yeon Jin for Netflix's original drama "The Glory"!
The rising actress made a guest appearance to the radio program KBS CoolFM's "Heize's Volume Up" and talked about her recent work, which aroused talk for her acting performance.
In the drama that focuses on revenge, Shin Ye Eun played the role of the leader of the bullies. She is the younger version of Park Yeon Jin, the tormentor of Song Hye Kyo.

Shin Ye Eun revealed that she auditioned for "The Glory" after learning that Ahn Gil Ho will be in charge of the work. She shared that she's a huge fan of the director, and enjoyed his works "Memories of the Alhambra" and "Stranger."
Unlike many casting stories, Shin Ye Eun's is unique. According to the actress, Ahn Gil Ho fell in love with her smile, which was the main reason why she became Park Yeon Jin.
Shin Ye Eun reasoned, "When I arrived at the audition site, I smiled and greeted everyone. Director Ahn Gil Ho said he loved my smile because I looked evil."

Thanks to Shin Ye Eun's evil-looking grin, she was cast as the young version of Park Yeon Jin. In "The Glory," Moon Dong Eun, played by Song Hye Kyo, would always notice Park Yeon Jin's smile while doing the most inhumane things to her.

Episode 1 showcased Shin Ye Eun's acting prowess, flashing her award-winning grin which every viewer loved and hated.

Shin Ye Eun Shares Thoughts On 'The Glory'
Shin Ye Eun made her acting debut in 2018 with the web drama "A-Teen" but it wasn't in 2022 that she received her breakthrough moment with Netflix's "The Glory."

The promising actress has been in several works including "More The Friends" and "Welcome." Unfortunately, her previous works received significantly low scores during its broadcast.
In fact, Shin Ye Eun would blame herself for the plummeting ratings, which affected her self-esteem.

Thankfully, she was able to overcome everything when she was cast as the young Park Yeon Jin in "The Glory."

On the other hand, "The Glory" aired for the first time on December 30 with eight episodes. Its Part 2, which also contains eight episodes, will hit the small screen on March 10 on Netflix.
