Jang Gyu Ri To Headline 'Player Season 2'

Former fromis_9 member Jang Gyu Ri is making it big in the entertainment scene, attracting attention as an actress!

After the success of her terrestrial drama debut "Cheer Up," Jang Gyu Ri was confirmed to join the cast of OCN's "Player" as the female lead on January 27.

The drama released its first season in 2018, and depicted the heist drama of the best of the best in their fields including a con artist, driver, hacker and a fighter.

Jang Gyu Ri is slowly climbing the ladder with her impressive acting skills, joining veterans Song Seung Heon, Lee Si Eon and more.

In the series, Jang Gyu Ri takes on the role of Jane, one of the most skilled drivers in South Korea. In the first season, fellow idol-actress Krystal Jung led the drama.

According to the reports, she didn't repriser her role in the series to focus on her high scale comeback film "Cobweb," which is expected to hit the screen this year.

With this, she passes the baton to the rookie star to deliver a gravity-defying drama alongside big names in the industry. In particular, Oh Yeon Seo will also join Season 2 with the main role.
