Song Hye Kyo Criticized For Visuals in 'The Glory'

Song Hye Kyo is one of the hottest actresses who has been praised and has been stirring great buzz in the Hallyu scene for her brilliant acting and beauty.

She recently returned to the small screen with the revenge drama "The Glory," which focuses on a woman's journey in avenging herself from the perpetrators who bullied her in the past.

"The Glory" instantaneously became one of the most streamed works on Netflix, and even received critical acclaim from fans around the world.

Many were left in awe with the realistic portrayal of school violence rampant in many institutions.

Besides the work itself, the cast Song Hye Kyo, Lim Ji Yeon, and Lee Do Hyun were also praised for their unstoppable synergy.

Unfortunately, Song Hye Kyo also received major criticisms after starring in the drama. Prior to the series' premiere, it was reported that the actress prevented the production unit from uploading her drama teasers without editing.

The fans who have seen the drama commented that Song Hye Kyo looked older in "The Glory" compared to her same-age co-stars.

Finally, in Song Hye Kyo's interview with Elle Korea, she responded to the criticism with nonchalance.

"I look older because I am older. I really aged and it's not possible to look as young as I was during my rookie days."

She added:

"My character has gone through a lot. It wouldn't make sense if I appeared pampered from the spa."

Though the viewers criticized her looks, Song Hye Kyo remains unbothered.

The actress also thanked the viewers who supported the series for it was a work that revitalized her passion for acting.

Song Hye Kyo Dishes Thoughts on Starring In 'The Glory'

Originally, Song Hye Kyo didn't want to accept the offer to star in the Netflix series. According to the actress, she doubted herself a lot and lost her confidence.
