Jung Ho Yeon is Back! ‘Squid Game’ Star to Have Special Appearance in THIS Netflix Series

Besides her Hollywood projects, Jung Ho Yeon returns to the small screen with a special appearance in Netflix's "Chicken Nugget."

In an exclusive report cited by JTBC News, the model-actress is set to appear in the upcoming thriller comedy series but in a cameo role. 

Jung Ho Yeon to Play Cameo Role in Netflix's 'Chicken Nugget'

According to the report, industry officials shared that the breakout star has confirmed her appearance for the K-drama "Chicken Nugget" which stars Ryu Seung Ryong, Kim Yoo Jung and Ahn Jae Hong. 

However, despite the confirmation, Jung Ho Yeon's character is yet to be announced. 

Interestingly, this will be the second time that the 28-year-old star will appear in a Korean drama, following the worldwide craze of "Squid Game."

'Chicken Nugget' Cast, Release Date, and More

Helmed by Lee Byung Hyun of "Extreme Job," "Be Melodramatic," and "Twenty," the upcoming K-drama is based on the webtoon "Fried Chicken" which illustrates a bizarre story of a woman named Choi Min Ah, who accidentally turned into a fried chicken. 

It came after she unintentionally entered a mysterious machine. With this, her father Choi Sun Man, and his intern Go Baek Jung, joint efforts to turn her back to normal. Unfortunately, the duo discovered surprising secrets along the way. 

In the forthcoming series, Kim Yoo Jung to Choi Min Ah while veteran star Ryu Seung Ryong, plays her on-screen father, Choi Seon Man. 

Moreover, Ahn Jae Hong appears as the intern, Ko Baek Joong.

As of this writing, there are no official statements regarding the target release date but it will be exclusively aired on Netflix with 16 episodes in total.

2021 was a fruitful year to Jung Ho Yeon as the runway model made a successful debut in acting after landing the iconic role of North Korean Kang Sae Byeok also known as player No. 067"

From then on she appeared in various publications and scored high-end advertisement deals with Louis Vuitton, Adidas, Calvin Klein, and more. 

From back-to-back endorsements, Jung Ho Yeon was also nominated in both local and foreign awards ceremonies and also bagged the Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series Award 2022 SAG Awards. 

The South Korean star eclipsed her fellow nominees Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon from "The Morning Show," Sarah Snook from "Succession" and Elisabeth Moss from "The Handmaid's Tale."

From recognition to Hollywood debut, Jung Ho Yeon will be headlining A24's "The Governesses" together with Lily-Rose Depp and Renate Reinsve, directed by Joe Talbot.

In addition, she will also join Cate Blanchett in Alfonso Cuarón's new series "Disclaimer" which will be released on Apple TV+.
