Ahead of her return with the second half of "The Glory," Song Hye Kyo revealed the thing she desires to achieve in her career as an actress in an interview with Elle Korea.

The actress, born in 1981, has been in the acting industry for almost three decades, flaunting her sophistication and unrivaled acting prowess.

Song Hye Kyo Shares Career & Retirement Plans

Since her debut in 1996, Song Hye Kyo has appeared in many popular works, which are now cult classics, including "My Girl and I," "Full House," "Autumn in My Heart" and more.

This 2023, Song Hye Kyo celebrates her 27th year anniversary as an actress. Currently, she stars as Moon Dong Eun in the revenge drama "The Glory," to which she claimed as her best work yet.

In the series, she showcases her immersive acting chops as a scorned woman who seeks revenge from the people who tortured her in the past.

Many fans and critics have praised the actress for her portrayal of a pained woman, and her realistic approach to her character. The actress omitted makeup and grandiose to fully show how her character suffered from poverty and abuse.

In an interview with Elle Korea, Song Hye Kyo thanked the fans who supported the series. According to her, she didn't expect the great reception for the drama, especially because the work is not a conventional revenge work due to its morbid themes.

Song Hye Kyo also shared her plans of making a comeback with a comedy drama as her scenes with Yeom Hye Ran in "The Glory" have gained amazing feedback.

"I want to do a sitcom or a romantic comedy before I retire from acting," Song Hye Kyo stated. "If I find a great project that's mainly focused on comedy, I will do it."

Due to this, fans couldn't hide their excitement for a Song Hye Kyo-centered rom-com series. Meanwhile, she was offered to star in the mystery series "The Price of Confession."

This March, Song Hye Kyo is coming back with bolder work as Netflix releases the second half of her revenge series "The Glory."

In the forthcoming eight-parter series, Song Hye Kyo is expected to accomplish her revenge on her perpetrator, and find the satisfaction she's been craving a long time ago.

Apart from that, fans clamor to see who her character ends up with, raising the expectations to a new high.

"The Glory Part 2" airs on March 10 on Netflix. Meanwhile, she also received the offer to star in "The Price of Confession" opposite Han So Hee.

If she accepts the work, she will play the role of Ahn Yoon Soo, a teacher whose life turns upside down as she gets involved in a murder case.
