'Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist 2' Episode 9: Will Kim Min Jae Overcome His Fear to Save Kim Hyang Gi?

With only one episode remaining, "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist 2" episode 9 showcased heart-pounding scenes as KIm Min Jae and Kim Hyang Gi uncovered a shocking situation.

Ahead of the season's finale, the historical-medical K-drama experienced a significant increase in viewership.

Amid the slow progress in viewership, the tvN series scored a massive climb in rating.

From the previous episode's rating of 1.8 percent, "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist 2" episode 9 garnered an average nationwide rating of 2.4 percent.

It only shows that the finale episode might hit an all-time high for the entire season run.

As seen in the 9th episode, Governor Ahn and the royal medical physician were eager to bring down Yoo Se Poong.

The episode also featured what started the rift between Jeon Kang Il and Yoo Se Poong. During his conversation with Physician Gye, Kang Il revealed he used to work alongside Yoo Se Poong back at the palace.

However, he thought that Yoo Se Poong embarrassed him in front of their colleagues after he managed to save a woman's life and blamed Jeon Kang Il for it.

On the other hand, he and the Governor plotted their revenge against Yoo Se Poong through an illegal immigrant woman. The Governor gave her a potion that would make her seduce Yoo Se Poong and used it against the physician.

However, the woman was so touched by the warmth and kindness of the people at Gyesoo Clinic, especially Lady Nam Hae, who also revealed that she is also an immigrant.

Thankfully, she met Physician Gye, and took her under his wing.

However, despite knowing how generous and kind the people at Gyesoo Clinic were, she had no choice but to do her task. After giving the meal to Yoo Se Poong, which contained the drug, she apologized and ran away. She went to the governor and told him she couldn't do it, making the official even more furious.

As for Yoo Se Poong, they found out that she was planning to drug him and with that, he sensed that Lady Eun Woo might be in danger. After searching in the field, he found the lifeless immigrant, murdered by Governor Ahn.

On the other hand, Lady Eun Woo saw everything and planned to escape but it was too late since the governor and the physician saw her.

Jeon Kang Il pretended that he was also against Governor Ahn and tried to protect Eun Woo; however, he was also stabbed in his arms.

As for Eun Woo, Governor Ahn strangled her, hoping for her forever silence. Thankfully Yoo Se Poong saw Eun Woo but was unconscious.

In the last scene of "Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist 2' episode 9, it featured the young physician trying to overcome his fear by administering the acupuncture.
