'Reply 1988'

Girl's Day Hyeri, Park Bo Gum, Ryu Jun Yeol, Lee Dong Hwi and Go Kyung Pyo's coming of age drama "Reply 1988" is one of the most loved works in South Korean entertainment in the past decade.

It tells the quirky, colorful and chaotic friendship of five friends who grew up in Seoul, navigating together the young adult life filled with romance, disappointment and hope.

Besides its resonating themes, Park Bo Gum's character Choi Taek was inspired by Lee Chang Ho or mostly known as "Stone Buddha," the youngest individual who became a professional Go player at age 11.

Like the athlete, Park Bo Gum's character also had the same stoic expression, which was one of the reasons that won over the hearts of the viewers.

'Empress Ki'

Rather an old release, "Empress Ki" is still as relevant as ever. It tackles dynasties, rebellion and politics, which are still seen in modern times.

'Move The Heaven'

The Netflix drama "Move To Heaven" starring Lee Je Hoon and Tang Jung Sang which follows the lives of trauma cleaners.

Lee Se Young and Lee Jun Ho's "The Red Sleeve" tells the gut-wrenching love story of a concubine and a crown prince that was cut short by fate and time.

The narrative of the award-winning drama was inspired by the written works of King Jeongjo and his concubine, Royal Noble Consort Ui Bin.
