Ryeo Un Introduces Role as He Makes Historical Drama Debut in ‘Romantic Guest House’
After he rose to fame through "18 Again" and "Adult Trainee," Ryeo Un is back with an exciting role as a charismatic and trustworthy scholar in "Romantic Guest House."
'Romantic Guest House' Stills: Ryeo Un Turns Into Handsome Scholar
Ryeo Un is to try something new and that is to headline a historical genre through SBS' upcoming series "Romantic Guest House."
Amid the drama's release. SBS generously gave a sneak peek of Ryeo Un's role as Kang San. The heartthrob finally breaks his "maknae" image and meets viewers with a fresh character as he leads the romantic K-drama, alongside Shin Ye Eun, Kang Hoon, and Jung Gun Joo.
"Romantic Guest House," also known as "The Love Story of Flower Scholars," features the story of a mysterious romance between four youths, a guest house owner, and three male boarding students who harbor secrets.

The actor will be one of the three flower scholars. In the new stills, Ryeo Un transformed into an independent student who exhibits strong appeal and is pursuing martial arts.
Illustrating how dedicated he is to his endeavors in life, the photos feature Kang San seriously and meticulously checking his sword. Opposite to his serious demeanor, Kang San has a warm personality.
With just a few pictures released, Ryeo Un already immerses himself in his new character.
Ryeo Un's Curiosity Permits Him to Lead His 1st Historical Romance Drama
Apart from the images, the young actor gave a statement explaining why he was captivated by his new series.
According to the celebrity, he felt pressured at first because it is his first historical drama. But curiosity hits him after reading the script. Ryeo Un wanted to know and learn more about Kang San's character to whom he found lots of similarities with.
He also shared being nervous during the first episode but now that the drama is about to start and he continuously films the scenes, everything begins to feel real for him.
On the other hand, the "Romantic Guest House" producer invites viewers to supportively anticipate the drama, especially the pilot episode where Ryeo Un's efforts, which he's cautiously built up until now, will be brought out.
"Romantic Guest House" premieres this coming March 20 on SBS and will occupy the Monday and Tuesday slots at 10 P.M (KST).
