SF9’s Yoo Taeyang To Play Kim Soo Hyun’s Role in ‘Dream High’ Musical
As the "Dream High" musical is finally coming to theaters, the production announced that SF9 member Yoo Taeyang will portray one of the most important characters in the play!
Art One Company Reveals 3 Actors to Play Song Sam Dong in 'Dream High' Musical
On February 28, production company Art One Company handling the "Dream High" musical, released a statement announcing that they already completed the triple casting of Song Sam Dong, played by Kim Soo Hyun in the original drama.
According to the production, SF9's Yoo Taeyang, comedian and actor Eum Moon Suk, and WINNER's Lee Seung Hoon confirmed their participation to portray Song Sam Dong.
Meanwhile, other cast members are yet to be revealed.
"Dream High" musical is based on KBS2's megahit series that aired in 2011. The drama is composed of talented stars Kim Soo Hyun, Suzy, IU, Ok Taecyeon, Ham Eun Jung, Wooyoung, and more. It follows the lives of high school students as they aspire to become the next superstars.

The Korean drama was popular among teenagers and international fans. It brought in average viewership ratings of 15.7 percent during its two-month run.
Due to popular demand, the series released a special episode where the original cast performed the "Dream High Special Concert" on stage in Seoul, which aired a day before the drama's finale.
What to Expect in the Upcoming 'Dream High' Stage Play
In addition to the announcement, an official shared, "We will present a new performance by incorporating dance into the existing musical."
He continued, "The three actors will not only show off their skills to the fullest but also take the center of the play."
Yoo Taeyang has already proven his ability on the musical stage. The idol-actor has appeared in various shows, such as "Secretly Greatly" and "The Court of Man." He also received favorable responses from the viewers with his solid singing, rapping, and acting in the "Altar Boyz" musical.
A spectacular performance from the ensemble is also expected. Yoo Taeyang is the main dancer of the K-pop boy group SF9 and has exhibited powerful choreography through some of their great music hits.
On the other hand, the "Dream High" musical will be held at BBCH Hall at Gwanglim Art Center starting this May.
