In "Oasis" episode 4, Jang Dong Yoon continues to live while he yearns for his first love. The real reason behind their breakup is also revealed.

Unfortunately, the relationship between him and his old best friend Chu Young Woo is severed. Here's what happened.

The Truth Behind Lee Doo Hak & Oh Jung Shin's Parting

"Oasis" episode 4 begins with Lee Doo Hak (Jang Dong Yoon) saving Choi Cheol Woong (Chu Young Woo) from a crisis.

Although he wants to live a low profile life after being released from prison, he admits that he's unable to forget the past and anger he has for the other man.

Lee Doo Hak focuses on turning a new leaf and begins to work for Cha Geum Ok (Kang Ji Eun) to reclaim Oh Jung Shin's (Seol In Ah) family theater.

He plans to surprise Oh Jung Shin with his simple gesture but thinking about the past weakens his heart. In the new episode, he reveals that the breakup between them was caused by his father.

Just like how he took the fall for Choi Cheol Woong, he also severed their relationship because of his father's earnest request. If not, their family would suffer under the hands of the latter's father.

Lee Doo Hak Becomes Powerful Thug

Lee Doo Hak then reunites with his new-found friends. Kim Hyung Joo (Do Sang Woo), KIm Gil Soo (Song Tae Yoon) and Cho Seong Woo (Ahn Dong Yeop) are the only ones whom he had a great connection with.

His terrible relationship with Yoo Young Pil (Jang Young Hyun), a gang member, goes way back. Because of his gang, Lee Doo Hak would always spend his time in the punishment room.

He's beaten up even more when he wins over the heart of their leader Yeom Gwang Tak (Han Jae Young) and becomes his second-in-command. Thankfully, all his punishment room shenanigans only strengthened his stamina.

Lee Doo Hak & Choi Cheol Woong's Friendship Ends

A year later, Choi Cheol Woong passes the bar exam and becomes a reputable prosecutor. However, he continues to dab on Lee Doo Hak's wounds and provokes him.

Angered by this, Lee Doo Hak, who's a second-in-command of the large gang, decides to continue living as a thug.

When the two young men meet again, Lee Doo Hak grabs Choi Cheol Woong by his collar when he learns the truth about their connection.
