'The Secret Romantic Guesthouse' Episode 4: Yoon Dan Oh Discovers the Three Scholars Team Up to Warn Her
It was revealed that Kang San (Ryeo Un) was the person who aimed a knife at Yoon Dan Oh (Shin Ye Eun). It was a secret agenda made by Kang San, Kim Si Yeol (Kang Hoon), and Jung Yoo Ha (Jung Gun Joo) to stop her from finding Lee Seol.
However, she did not give up her will to look for Lee Seol and the three scholars who were worried joined her again to find the missing person.

Kang San was disturbed by how determined Yoon Dan Oh is in finding Lee Seol. She even helped an assaulted man alone, even though there was danger waiting for her. The next day, they all congratulated Kang San for passing the entrance exam. Ending their short celebration, Yoon Dan Oh discovered another hint. Kim Si Yeol remembered that the person Dan Oh was about was Jang Ye Won, and they could have just bribed him to enter the Buyeonggak.
Kang San Reveals Hwa Ryeong's Real Identity to Yoon Dan Oh
In the middle of the night, Dan Oh, Kang San and Si Yeol went to Jang Ye Won and managed to get inside after paying another bribe. As they assess the place, they've learned that the slave of Prince Geum Ryeong went to Hanseongbu and returned to Summer Palace.

Later on, Hwa Ryeong told Dan Oh, the watchman who protects Lee Seol. She even informed the three scholars about it. The landlady said that she could not quit knowing that a person's life was at stake, and begged to know more information.
Only then did Hwa Ryeong share that there's a precious treasure left by the crown prince to his grandson. And it would be handed down only to the heir to the throne from generation to generation. It also has an engraved dragon pattern.

Kang San was injured and stumbled along the road. Yoon Dan Oh saw him and was quick to assist him. It was then he confessed that Hwa Ryeong was the bodyguard of Prince Geum Ryeong.
