‘Tale of The Nine-Tailed 1938’ Cast: Hunting Begins as tvN Introduces Lead Stars Lee Dong Wook, Kim So Yeon, More

tvN continues to excite viewers with the new and official poster of "Tale Of The Nine-Tailed 1938," starring Lee Dong Wook, Kim Bum, and Kim So Yeon. 

The broadcast network introduces new cast members along with actors reprising their characters.

"Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938" sparks excitement as tvN releases a new poster for the much-awaited sequel. It showcases the drama's six lead stars: Lee Dong Wook, Kim Bum, Ryu Kyung Soo, Hwang Hee, Kim Yong Ji, and new cast member Kim So Yeon.

As seen in the new teaser, the six main characters give off a powerful aura. Interestingly, tvN hints at what to expect in the upcoming season.

"The era where there is nothing left to protect. It is time to hunt," the caption reads, suggesting a new mission as the group returns with a new era.

Over the comments section, fans expressed that they can't wait for Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum's team-up. In addition, others are also thrilled to see Kim So Yeon join the "Tale Of The Nine-Tailed 1938" cast.

Fans are also stunned to see Kim Bum's new hairstyle as he continues to play Lee Rang. The actor sports a longer hairstyle, which is very different from his look in season 1.

In the first season of the historical fantasy series, Kim Bum looked in his clean-cut look. However, the upcoming season hints at the character growth of Lee Rang.

As for Kim So Yeon, fans noticed the similar styling of her character in "The Penthouse: War in Life" versus her new role in "Tale of The Nine-Tailed 1938."

It raises the anticipation of her chemistry with Lee Rang and Lee Yeon.

'Tale of The Nine-Tailed 1938' Cast, Release Date

As the mission continues in "Tale of The Nine-Tailed 1938," Lee Dong Wook will continue to play the role of gumiho who lives as Lee Yeon along with his half-brother Lee Rang.

Award-winning actress Kim So Yeon then takes on the role of Ryu Hong Joo, a former western mountain goddess and the owner of Myoyeongak, Gyeongseong's finest restaurant.

In a previous interview, she expressed how honored and grateful she is to portray one of the main character for the upcoming season.

"I'll work hard on preparing in order to successfully portray the attractive character Ryu Hong Joo," she said, as obtained by a media outlet.

Slated to be released on May 6, "Tale of The Nine-Tailed 1938" will air every Saturday and Sunday, with a total of 12 episodes for this season.

The upcoming sequel is directed by Kang Shin Hyo of "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" season 1, as well as "Coffee Lab" and the hit K-drama "The Heirs."

In addition, the soon-to-be-released romance-fantasy series is produced by Studio Dragon and How Pictures.
