Yoo Ah In's agency claps back at reports about the actor's drug charges. The award-winning star faced another issue concerning his involvement with illegal substances.

It was after reports say that the "Seoul Vibe" star has been found to have allegedly used Zolpidem, a substance used to treat insomnia.

Known as a "very strong sleeping pill," zolpidem is a sedative-hypnotic that slows down activity in the brain, allowing a person to fall asleep.

While Yoo Ah In tested positive on four types of drugs like propofol, marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine after undergoing urine and hair strand tests, it has been said that police have found prescription records suggesting his usage of zolpidem.

The recent action was amid the continued investigation of the authorities regarding Yoo Ah In's drug case.

In addition, police have reportedly raided medical facilities where the actor allegedly prescribed zolpidem.

Following an update regarding Yoo Ah In's drug scandal, his agency, UAA released a statement, claiming that the report is "baseless."

As obtained by a local media outlet, the talent label pointed out that they are "trying to correct the facts regarding the situation."

Moreover, the agency said that undisclosed investigation details, such as the recent news regarding an alleged fifth drug, were brought out to the media "for unknown reasons."

In addition, UAA hints that it is based on the informant's perspective and not through investigation.

"The article was written based only on the witness of informant A. It was reported only through speculation without any confirmation of the facts," Yoo Ah In's agency raised.

With this, UAA has warned of legal action against malicious rumors, in relation to the report.

Yoo Ah In's Health Confition Led Him to Drug Usage

After investigation proved that Yoo Ah In tested positive in four types of illegal drugs, his agency claimed that the prolific actor used propofol and ketamine for treatment but denied the use of cocaine.

The same goes for propofol whom UAA admitted that the "Hellbound" star used the substance due to his "needle phobia."

"He has a phobia of needles because he has been struggling with a skin condition and so he requested anesthesia for the treatments," the agency said, as obytained by a media outlet,

Due to this, the actor received mixed reactions from the media and pointed out that he is making excuse to justify the drug abuse.

Yoo Ah In's Drug Scandal Affects His Upcomiong Project

Despite the public apology, Yoo Ah In's drug scandal had a massive blow in his career.

He have decided to drop out from the upcoming sequel of "Hellbound" and weas replaced by Kim Sung Cheol.

As for his movies and an upcoming K-drama, the premiere of "Goodbye Earth," "High Five," and "The Match" will be postponed for the time being.
