According to Koreaboo, Lee Jong Suk and IU have been publicly dating since 2022, but the couple has kept a low profile since confirming their romance. There have been rumors about their relationship status, but IU has often denied them.

In Lee's recent post, he shared a photo of himself standing next to an image on the ground made of flower petals shaped like a bird's face. Many fans noticed the bird resembled IU's Tweety Bird display picture and even pointed out a mole on the bird's cheek matching IU's.

This led to widespread excitement among fans who believed it was Lee's subtle way of affirming their ongoing relationship.

One fan expressed enthusiasm, saying, "Just jongsuk way of reminding people who IU belongs to."

Another added, "This can only mean one thing in Korea." Some even urged the couple to take the next step, tweeting, "Get married already."

However, not all fans agreed with this interpretation. Many argued that the bird was actually the official mascot of Lee Jong Suk's fan club—a yellow duck with a mole under its eye—and unrelated to IU.

One fan clarified the misunderstanding, "The same bullshit again, who gonna tell you that this has nothing to do with IU , it's his mascot which is famous around his fans."

Another professional fan added, "Hi! professional with (ljs enjoyer) and uaena (iu enjoyed) here. as much as j love their rs and are very happy they r tgt, im sry to inform tt its actually jongsuk's character in the ig slide.... they keep their rs as priv as possible so i dont expect him to post."

Meanwhile, Star News reported that IU had a brief but meaningful interaction with WOODZ at AAA 2025. The two, who are under the same agency, didn't have much time together, but they exchanged a quick fist bump before heading to the event. Despite how short it was, WOODZ said the moment gave him a surprising boost of confidence and emotional support.

He shared that performing at the same venue as IU—and being surrounded by her peers and seniors—felt a bit intimidating, but knowing she was there helped him feel more secure and perform with greater confidence. It was also their first official schedule together, making the moment even more memorable for him.
