As Lee Je Hoon successfully wrapped up the hit K-drama "Taxi Driver 2," the South Korean heartthrob spoke about his desire to have "Signal" its second season. 

The mystery thriller K-drama is among the series that fans want to return with a new sequel; however, drama officials are unclear about the series having its second installment. 

Interestingly, during his appearance in tvN's "You Quiz on the Block," the actor briefly talked about his 2016 K-drama "Signal" and recalled his experience working alongside top actors and a renowned screenwriter.

Lee Je Hoon Wish to See 'Signal' Season 3 Gets the Green Light

Lee Je Hoon drew the attention of viewers after he mentioned "Signal" and shared his experience filming it. 

As mentioned by a media outlet, the actor recalled getting nervous to work alongside top stars like Kim Hye Soo. 

He confessed feeling blank and "couldn't think of anything" after seeing his co-star's face. 

"I thought of her as an idol, but I was so nervous to act alongside her," he said, adding that he felt excited and couldn't come to his senses because he was starstruck by Kim Hye Soo. 

When asked about his wish as an actor, Lee Je Hoon didn't hesitate and mentioned reprising his role in "Signal."

"If writer Kim Eun Hee is watching, I hope she will write the story for season 2, he said, and hoped that it will include original cast like Jo Jin Woong and Kim Hye Soo. 

To recall, "Signal" concluded the season with an open ending. Ity depicts the story of the first criminal profiler in South Korea who is responsible for solving cold cases regarding the mysterious deaths of victims. 

Interestingly, he managed to work through the case thanks to his connection with the past-through a walkie-talkie owned by the late police officer Jo Jin Woong.

In the last episode, Lee Jan Hae (Jo Jin Woong) left evidence for Park Hae Young (Lee Je Hoon) to solve, which led to the arrest of Congressman Jang Young Cheol. 

What's Next for Lee Je Hoon? 

After "Taxi Driver 2," SBS officially announced that "Taxi Driver" season 3 is now in the works. 

As obtained by a media outlet, drama officials are in the planning stage and will announce the possible release date and cast lineup. 

Interestingly, Lee Je Hoon previously hinted at his return for the show's third installment. 

Prior to the thrilling announcement of SBS, the 38-year-old actor teased fans about his possible appearance in the upcoming sequel. 

As seen on the behind-the-scenes episode of "Taxi Driver 2" released on SBS Catch, Lee Je Hoon was doing a golfing scene for one episode and joked about learning the sport for the sequel. 

I'll learn golf before 'Taxi Driver 3'" he said, adding, "If I had known this would happen, I would have practiced golf. I'll learn it before 'Taxi Driver 3' starts. I'll play better then," teases viewers with his possible return as Kim Do Gi.
