Viewers will be seeing an array of new K-dramas in the first week of May.

From action series, healing K-drama to sci-fi shows and more, K-drama fans would get to see celebrities returning to the small screen with an exciting series. 

Check out these three new K-dramas premiering this first week of May. 

'My Perfect Stranger'

The fantasy romance K-drama "My Perfect Stranger" started May 2023 with a bang after kicking off with a good start.

After making its debut on May 1, the new series scored an average nationwide rating of 4.5 percent, making it the number one Monday and Tuesday evening drama. 

"My Perfect Stranger" depicts the strange incident experienced by news anchor Yoon Hae Joon, played by Kim Dong Wook, who wants to know more about the truth behind a serial murder case. 

With hopes of uncovering the mystery, he meets Baek Yoon Young, portrayed by Jin Ki Joo. However, they found themselves stuck in 1987. 

There, they figured out that their pasts were connected.

"My Perfect Stranger" is helmed by Kang Soo Yeon of "The Tale of Nokdu" and Lee Woong Hee of "Moonlight on the Blooming Plum Blossoms."

'All That We Loved'

Airing this weekend, "All That We Loved" stars EXO's Sehun, Jang Yeo Bin of "A Beauty of Revenge," and "Dear M.'s" Jo Joon Young. 

Sehun transforms into high school student Go Yoo, who excels in basketball and fears nothing.

Because of his goals in life and protecting Go Joon Hee, he is too busy to date, not until he meets his first love, So Yeon. 

"All That We Loved" premieres on May 5, with a total of five episodes airing via TVING.

'Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938' 

One of the most anticipated K-drama this May is the return of the duo, Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum. 

"Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938" featured the returning cast and new faces.

Lee Dong Wook will reprise his role as Lee Yeon, while Kim Bum will continue to play his half brother Lee Rang. 

Joining the second sequel is Kim So Yeon as the goddess of mountain, Ryu Hong Joo while Ryu Kyung Soo plays one of the three deities, Cheon Moo Young. 

Set to premiere on May 6 at 9:20 p.m. KST, viewers will get to watch the adorable duo on tvN every Saturday and Sunday. 

Ongoing K-drama: 'Dr. Romantic 3'

Besides three new K-dramas this May, viewers are hooked with every episode as Doldam Hospital family returns for its third sequel. 

"Dr. Romantic 3" stars Han Suk Kyu as the legendary doctor, Kim Sa Bu, along with Lee Sung Kyung and Ahn Hyo Seop as reset couple, Seo Woo Jin and Cha Eun Jae.
