'Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938' Surpasses Season 1's Pilot Episode Record
Lee Dong Wook, Kim So Yeon, and Kim Bum finally met the viewers through "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938," which is the sequel to the 2020 series "Tale of the Nine Tailed."
It follows the story of a male gumiho Yi Yeon in the present day. Even though he had a happy ending with Nam Ji Ah in Season 1, in the new season, he unexpectedly finds himself back in 1938.
The sequel will focus on Yi Yeon's desperate struggle to return to the modern era.

The new season kicked off on May 6 and successfully recorded high ratings. It also managed to break the previous season's personal viewership rating record.
Based on the released data by Nielsen Korea, "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938" episode 1 scored an average rating of 6.5 percent nationwide, surpassing the "Tale of the Nine Tailed" pilot episode record of 5.8 percent in 2020.
Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum, alongside new cast member Kim So Yeon, made an impressive start to their first drama collaboration.

Furthermore, "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938" takes over tvN's Saturday and Sunday 9:20 p.m. (KST) time slot, which was previously occupied by Lee Ji Ah's revenge series "Pandora: Beneath the Paradise."
Meanwhile, the sequel is expected to finish in June and will be immediately followed by Shin Hye Sun and Ahn Bo Hyun's new romantic series "See You in My 19th Life."
Medical K-Dramas 'Dr. Romantic 3' & 'Doctor Cha' Maintain Double Digit Ratings
Trending K-series "Doctor Cha," which stars Uhm Jung Hwa, Kim Byung Chul, Myung Se Bin, and Min Wook Hyuk, is also receiving a lot of love from viewers.
The latest episode scored an average viewership rating of 12.9 percent, earning its highest rating to date.
Another trending medical K-drama "Dr. Romantic 3" continues to maintain double-digit scores. Episode 4, which aired on May 6, recorded a high rating of 12.3 percent nationwide.
Ahn Jae Hyun's comeback drama "The Real Has Come" scored 19.1 percent and consistently holds the title of the most-watched program on Saturday.
