Uhm Jung Hwa's 'Doctor Cha' Records Highest Rating Yet

The medical comedy series "Doctor Cha" finally is finally entering its second half with bright spirits!

On May 7, "Doctor Cha" released its eighth episode and revealed the nasty affair between Kim Byung Chul's Seo In Ho and Myung Se Bin's Choi Seung Hee.

Uhm Jung Hwa's character, Cha Jung Suk, wowed the viewers with her transformation at the end of the episode while hinting at her revenge.

The final episode of the first half of the series received a nationwide score of 16.2%, which marks its highest rating yet.

It's significantly higher than its previously recorded scores despite enjoying an all-time high since its broadcast. In particular, "Doctor Cha" took the first place among all weekend dramas, beating "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938."

"Doctor Cha" is finally now in its second half of broadcast, and the production unit guarantees to satisfy the viewers' expectations until the very end while bringing entertainment and morals through its intricately written narrative.

'Doctor Cha' Sets New Historical Record For JTBC

Besides recording all-time high scores in viewership ratings, Uhm Jung Hwa's "Doctor Cha" also made history in JTBC.

The medical comedy series achieved the fifth highest ratings of any drama produced by JTBC, following the smash hit releases "The World of the Married," "Reborn Rich," "SKY Castle" and "Itaewon Class."

And because Uhm Jung Hwa's drama still has a long way to go, the viewers' expectations are through the roof.

The production team of "Doctor Cha" sincerely extends their gratitude to everyone who tuned in to Doctor Cha Jung Suk's life from being a homemaker to her transformation as a first year resident doctor.

With its second half of broadcast just around the corner, "Doctor Cha" is predicted to rise to the top even more.

On the other hand, Uhm Jung Hwa's comeback series "Doctor Cha" airs every Saturday and Sunday on JTBC at 10:30 p.m. KST on JTBC.
