Where to Watch Kim Woo Bin's New Drama 'Black Knight'

The long wait is over for fans as Kim Woo Bin returns to the small screen with an interesting K-drama. A year after "Our Blues" was released, the Hallyu star transformed into 5-8 in "Black Knight."

He stars alongside Esom as Defense Intelligence Command Major Seol Ah and Song Seung Heon as the Cheonmyeong Group heir, Ryu Seok.

Adding to the list of "Black Knight" cast members are Kang Yoo Seok as the rebellious refugee Sa Wol and Kim Eui Sung as Grandpa, Sa Wol's longtime guardian and an all-around mechanic.

Viewers will get to see the 6-episode series exclusively on Netflix.

'Black Knight' Episodes 1 to 3 Recap

The drama begins when a comet accidentally hits Earth, killing 99 percent of the human population.

As for the survivors, they struggled to live after the Korean Peninsula was greatly affected by the natural calamity.

As a result, the air becomes populated, and people rely on oxygen tanks in order to survive.

With the scarcity of clean air, oxygen emerged as the most valuable resource. This is where the responsibility of delivery men takes place, as they have to make sure that the right individuals receive the delivery.

However, most often than not, they get attacked by hunters, who steal O2; hence, it's why people see them as knights who need to have a complete skill set.

In the first part of "Black Knight," Sa Wol, a fearless refugee, is being taken care of by Major Seol Ah along with her sister, Jung Seul Ah.

However, they encountered a mysterious group that tried to abduct her.

Sa Wol tried to defend Jung Seul Ah against the group, but unfortunately, she was killed.

On the other hand, 5-8 saved the struggling Sa Wol, who is hanging on to his life. The first part of the season also introduced the affluent family of the Cheonmyeong Group.

Headed by Chairman Ryu Jae Jin, he works alongside his son, the heir of the company, Ryu Seok. They are planning to develop a mutation with Ryu Seo, who is responsible for the kidnappings.

At this point, 5-8 figured out that 5-7's death was linked to Cheonmyeong Group's plan of mutation after he told Major Seol Ah what he witnessed during his death.

It turned out that Ryu Jae Jin controls the machine that sets off signals when he needs to eliminate someone.

On the other hand, in order to fend off the attention of the public regarding their human experiment, they organized a competition to see who would be the next to join the group of delivery men.

As for Sa Wol, this will be his chance to get out of being a mere refugee, but first, he sought the help of 5-8.

Since 5-8, who also came as a refugee, saw similarities between him and Sa Wol, he trained him to become fit for the job.

Episode 3 focuses on the start of the competition, where Sa Wol and the rest of the contestants need to survive the challenges to be the next delivery man.
