The South Korean actor once again proved his versatility as he played a webtoon-based character.
As he returns to the small screen, Ahn Bo Hyun rocks a much more slender body, as seen in the newly-released teaser for "See You in My 19th Life."
Ahn Bo Hyun Loses 8kg to Look Like Webtoon Character
tvN teased viewers with still cuts, featuring Ahn Bo Hyun's character, Moon Seo Ha, a company boss who gets reunited with Ban Ji Eun. Looking perfect in a sleek suit, it's also noticeable how the actor's visuals changed for this project.
In a report cited by a news portal, a representative from the production team revealed that Ahn Bo Hyun purposely lost weight for the role. He shed a whopping 8kg to look like the manhwa character.
On the other hand, the official assured viewers they would fall in love with Ahn Bo Hyun's new role.
"I am confident that they will fall in love with Ahn Bo Hyun's acting transformation and a new charm that they have never seen before."
The 35-year-old star gained fame after landing the villain role in "Itaewon Class."
In addition, he also played Kim Go Eun's on-screen boyfriend in "Yumi's Cells" and joined Han So Hee in Netflix's "My Name."
'See You in My 19th Life' Cast & Release Date
Viewers are excited to see the chemistry between Ahn Bo Hyun and Shin Hye Sun as they play characters from a popular webtoon.
Based on the story created by Lee Hey, "See You in My 19th Life" focuses on an extraordinary woman named Ban Ji Eun.
For thousands of years, she has been living different lives. Interestingly, she remembers all the notable moments and who she was in her past life.
However, the reincarnation was cut short after getting caught up in a tragic incident.

With this, she wanted to reconnect with people from her past and decided to find Moon Seo Ha, whom she met on her 18th life.
Joining Ahn Bo Hyun and Shin Hye Sun as the lead stars of "See You in My 19th Life" are Ha Yoon Kyung, who takes on the role of the landscape architect Yoon Cho Won, while Ahn Dong Goo, plays as Moon Seo Ha's secretary Ha Do Yoon.
Viewers will get to see the duo's on-screen chemistry as "See You in My 19th Life" will debut on June 17 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
It will be released via tvN, TVING and Netflix.
