It's a never ending battle for Yoo Ah In after the authorities found strong evidence against the actor in his drug case.

Following the second private summons, police planned on pushing for the arrest warrant after uncovering significant information that the actor was tampering with the evidence.

Yoo Ah In Reportedly Helped His Accomplice Leave Korea Amid Investigation

According to the KBS report, the Seoul Central Prosecutors' Office officially requested an arrest warrant for the "Seoul Vibe" star. That is due to the evidence that points to Yoo Ah In attempting to help the accomplice leave the country despite the ongoing investigation.

The said accomplice is among the actor's close friends, and a is a writer who graduated from an art school.

With this, authorities pushed the indication after uncovering evidence showing that his accomplice tried to leave South Korea.

In the same report, authorities explained why a warrant of arrest is "necessary" for Yoo Ah In's case.

A police representative pointed out that he "denied the charges even after the investigation, the fact that the type and number of abused drugs have increased, and the fact that he has an accomplice."

Yoo Ah In Leaves Prosecutor's Office After 21-Hour Questioning

To recall, the Seoul Central Prosecutors' Office initially planned to file a warrant of arrest against the actor after he skipped the second investigation hearing twice.

First, he reportedly arrived in the vicinity but chose to leave and not attend the investigation after seeing "too many reporters" waiting for him. It was rescheduled a few days later, but Yoo Ah In still dodged the private summons.

At this point, authorities warned the actor that he might face significant consequences if he continued avoiding the investigation hearing.

However, on May 16, Yoo Ah In arrived at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency at 9 a.m. along with his legal counsel. It was five days after he canceled the initial questioning over allegations of illegal drug use.

Upon arriving at the building, Yoo Ah In declined to answer questions when asked by reporters if he denied the accusations.

After a 21-hour questioning, he left the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on May 17 at 6:26 a.m. He also went to answer a brief question from the media, where he was asked about the update regarding the investigation. He replied and said that he "did everything" he could, adding, "I am sorry for causing concern."

Since February, the scandal-ridden actor has been facing allegations regarding his involvement in a drug case. He is accused of using 5 types of drugs, particularly marijuana, cocaine, propofol, ketamine, and zolpidem. He admitted to using marijuana but denied using the other four substances.

At this point, he is barred from leaving the country and would have to participate in the probe.
