‘Doctor Cha’ Episode 12: Uhm Jung Hwa Seeks Solitude From Kim Byung Chul

Uhm Jung Hwa finally decides to free herself from burden in "Doctor Cha" episode 12, finally seeking solitude from her unsaveable marriage.

The Gusan Love Triangle

In the previous episode, Seo In Ho (Kim Byung Chul) and Roy Kim (Min Woo Hyuk) engaged in a fist fight over Cha Jung Suk (Uhm Jung Hwa), who doesn't have any idea about their rivalry.

Because of the embarrassment, she reprimands the two of them for their behavior. The incident then adds fuel to the huge fire about the three of them in the Gusan University Hospital.

Later that day, Choi Seung Hee (Myung Se Bin) confronts Cha Jung Suk about her decision, saying that she should divorce Seo In Ho if she wants the former to quit the hospital.

Unfortunately for her, Cha Jung Suk plans to finish her residency at her alma mater, raising Choi Seung Hee's wrath to a new level.

Seo Jung Min's Huge Dilemma

Even after Jeon So Ra's (Jo Ah Ram) small efforts, Seo Jung Min (Song Ji Ho) stands his ground and doesn't cave in.

In episode 12, Seo Jung Min feels extremely ill after being in the hospital for a week straight without rest. Because of this, his judgment becomes cloudy.

He then discharges the patient that was assigned to him, not knowing that her case is already severe as the cancer has metastasized to her stomach and other organs.

Roy Kim lends his hands and operates on the patient but to no avail, the cancer patient didn't make it successfully, sending Seo Jung Min in a spiral.

The patient's parents then sues the hospital, creating a massive ruckus that alarms the higher-ups. They also resent Cha Jung Suk and Seo In Ho who both attend the funeral service.

Seo In Ho Plans To Make It Right

The following day, Seo In Ho breaks it to Choi Seung Hee that he's not planning on divorcing Cha Jung Suk. This makes the former's blood boil in anger and in pain.

Seo In Ho also tackles the legal aspect of the commotion in the hospital, blaming it on the Family Medicine department headed by Choi Seung Hee.

She then saunters into the Surgery department, warning him about his next move, creating tension between the ex-lovers.

Cha Jung Suk Asks For Divorce

At the end of the episode, Cha Jung Suk prepares for Seo In Ho's late father's memorial service.

She states that it will be the last time she will lend her hands as she drops the truth bomb: she will file a divorce as nothing can be saved anymore in their marriage.

Seo In Ho's nose then bleeds nonstop, and he collapses on the kitchen floor, which raises the anticipation of what will happen next.
