Yoon Hae Joon Fights With Baek Yoon Young

Yoon Hae Joon (Kim Dong Wook) confronts Baek Yoon Young (Jin Ki Joo) about her identity, creating a tension between them.

Since they both refuse to back down, they end up in a stalemate. Yoon Hae Joon then ignores her all day and decides to focus on his on-going investigation.

Baek Yoon Young continues to tail her mother who's currently the same age as her as she's in the year 1987. She tries to keep herself together as she meets her younger relatives.

She then enjoys her time with Lee Soon Ae (Seo Ji Hye) which she wasn't able to do before she passed away in the present time.

Yoon Hae Joon learns that matchboxes are used to send love letters to other people, making his task to take down the killer more difficult.

What's worse is everyone whom he suspects becomes more suspicious as time passes by. He then decides to give the three suspected culprits the benefit of the doubt.

Tragedy Approaches Yoon Hae Joon

The first murder is about to take place in the woods whom he identifies as Lee Joo Young (Jung Ga Hee), girl who Baek Hee Seob (Lee Won Jung) and Yoo Beom Ryong (Joo Yeon Woo) like.

Yoon Hae Joon then desperately tails the student to stop her death from happening. Meanwhile, Ko Min Su (Kim Yeon Woo) is released from prison, signaling that something bad is about to happen according to Ko Mi Sook's novel.

Just like what's bound to happen, Lee Joo Young is found cowering in the water. Yoon Hae Joon then saves her, and he and Baek Yoon Young make sure she's safe in her own home.

Baek Yoon Young then communicates with Yoon Hae Joon, saying that another death is about to occur as the events follow Ko Mi Sook's published novel.

However, the latter doesn't believe her, calling it a coincidence. Later that day, Baek Yoon Young's mother and father create a commotion at school.

Who Is The Real Killer?

Lee Joo Young discovers that someone is watching her as she receives a new matchbox. Yoon Hae Joon then deducts Baek Hee Seob as the potential suspect.

He also theorizes that Baek Yoon Young's late mother's death in 2021 wasn't suicide but a murder set up as one.

The two also learn that Lee Joo Young had been convicted three times before. She also threatens Baek Yoon Young with a knife, telling Yoon Hae Joon that she won't go back to the police.

After a while, a man wearing a blue cap, their suspect for the murders, shows up. It's none other than Baek Hee Seob.

A Blind Spot

The two time travelers aren't sure whether he's the real culprit. The following day, a fire took place near the persimmon tree house, which changed everything.

He sees Ko Min Su wearing a blue cap. However, Yoon Hae Joon keeps his peace as he's racked with guilt for changing the past's timeline.

The calendar, photos and important files are now wiped out, a result of his drastic decision to change the past. He then apologizes to Baek Yoon Young for everything.
